Forum: How did you find out Santa wasn't real?
Aloha Becky,

I'm not sure how old I was, it was definitely early elementary school, but I was hanging with my older brother during the summer months. We rode our bikes to his friends house and started talking about Christmas somehow...long story short I told him how we saw Santa on our roof last year at Christmas. He said "that's impossible, Santa isn't real". I didn't believe him, at the time I thought he was just saying that because he was jealous we saw him and he didn't. Well, my brother was not having it! He rushed us home and called my mom into one of the bedrooms to talk with her. I continued about my day like nothing happened. She played it off like he was just being silly. The next Christmas, my mom told me and was crying as she did. She said she was sorry someone ruined the surprise so early for me. I think she was more hurt than I was!

Thanks for the forum.

Forum: Hotels or Airbnb
Aloha,

I have found Airbnb to be cheaper, especially for larger groups. They also offer more ways to save money such as having full kitchens to make your own food. I also like the homey feel they offer rather than just the hotel feel. Most times they provide things to do in the area, have board games, and are usually set up with smart tv's or Netflix. Overall, I would say Airbnb's blow hotels out of the water. That's just my preference though.

Forum: Do you like the flavor of Gingerbread?
Aloha Becky,

I have become more open to gingerbread as I'm getting older. As a kid all the way through high school I wouldn't even try anything gingerbread flavored. I think there are definitely some gingerbread products (much like some pumpkin spice products) that just go overboard with the spices. It is a huge turn off for me. I like more subtle notes of flavor. So basically, I will try gingerbread flavored things but I am very cautious not to take too big of a mouthful. Usually gingerbread cookies are ok, probably because they are cookies so loaded with sugar, but still. This Sunday I will be going to a friends house to make gingerbread houses. Hope I buy a kit that's not too spicy :P

Thanks for the forum.

Aloha Anna,

I really enjoy Christmas music. I totally get what you mean about getting annoying with the repetitive songs. Last year are started looking for new Christmas playlists. I really enjoy the Sia and Pentatonix soundtrack. I’d recommend you give them a listen!

Aloha Unique,

I did work today from 7:30-4. I then ran home to get changed and head to a friends house for Thanksgiving. Her and her family were generous enough to invite me over since I wasn’t going home for Thanksgiving.

Aloha Becky,

I did not get to workout today, I worked and had to rush home to make it in time for some leftovers! I’ll have to make up for it some time this weekend. I’m always impressed by people who are able to get a workout in on holidays. There’s just always so much to do. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Aloha CNET,

What was your favorite dish this year on Thanksgiving night?

My favorite was a baked brie dish. It was delicious. A huge thank you to my friend and her family for inviting me over this year!

Aloha Dymphie,

My #1 gift this year would be Rosetta Stone. I recently decided I wanted to become fluent in Spanish and Italian in the next few years. I have always loved languages and decided why not learn now? It is expensive which is why it would be an amazing gift, but I'm not expecting it at all.

Good luck on your NCLEX!!!
