Forum: Past, Present, & Future
Happy Friday!

Thinking about the past, present, and future, how has your life changed in the past 7 years, and how do you anticipate it to change in the next 7 years?

Past: 7 years ago I was in the midst of going through a divorce. I'd gotten married relatively young (24 when I was married) to someone I'd been with since my senior year in high school. I quickly learned that we'd both changed a lot in the nearly 10 years we'd been together, and it just wasn't right for me anymore. I was also in a job that I didn't much care for; I was going to work just for the paycheck. So that's what was going on with me 7 years ago!

Present: I'm currently working in a job that I love, and that I am appreciated for all that I do. I'm also married once again to a man I love (we've been married for 3 years now!). I have a beautiful baby girl that fills our lives with so much joy! And we are working on getting rid of all our debt in the next 5 years. I'd say I'm in a pretty good spot in my life right now!

Future: In 7 years, I am hoping we own a house. And I hope to still be working for the company I am currently, but I hope to be in a new role: Account Manager/Specialist. I hope that my daughter is enjoying school, and excelling in it as well. And I also hope that in 7 years, we have either already moved out of New York state, or that it's in the forseable future at that time (we are still quite a few years off from even being able to consider it).

Thanks for reading my story, now I'd love to hear yours...

What were you doing 7 years ago, or what was going on in your life then?
What is your life like now?
What do you anticipate you life to be like in 7 years, or what do you hope it to be like?

Have a great weekend!

Subject: What is your biggest fear?

Forum: What is your biggest fear?
Good Morning CNet!

There are many different things people are afraid of. Some may be things like snakes or heights, while others may be a bit more in depth like the fear of dying or being alone.

My biggest fear is my house catching on fire. I'm not sure where this fear came from because I've never been in a situation like that before. I've had many friends and family that are in the fire department, so maybe that's where my fear started. I've also known someone who's house burned down. Twice. It was both scary and sad to look at the aftermath of it.

There are little things that I can't get myself to do, because I know that it could cause a fire if someone isn't careful. Storing things in the oven and setting anything that could easily catch fire on the stove, like a towel or pot holder. Even if the stove hasn't been on all day, I still cannot do it. I don't even like setting the pizza box on the stove when we order a pizza!

Now it's your turn: What is your biggest fear in life?

Thanks for reading!

Forum: Where are you in life right now?
Good Morning CNet!

There are so many of us here on CollegeNet, and we are all at different points in our lives. I would love to learn a bit more about each of you!

Are you planning to attend college/currently attending/already graduated, or something else?
What is going to be/is/was your college major?
Where in the country are you from?
Are you single or married?
Do you have kids?

I'll start: I graduated from college in 2008, with a degree in Recreation Management (currently my career has nothing to do with my major, but that's ok!). I am from western New York, I was born & raised here. I'm married with 2 kids (12 year old stepson and 1 year old daughter) and 2 fur-babies!

Look forward to meeting you all! Have a great Wednesday!

Subject: You are given 1 wish, what would it be?

Forum: You are given 1 wish, what would it be?
You have been granted one wish. It could be anything, except for more wishes. What is the one thing you would wish for?

I would wish for all of my family and friends major life challenges be resolved. This could be their financial or health challenges. I hate to see my family and friends suffer, and it would bring me great peace to know that they are not struggling with those things anymore!

I look forward to reading about your wish!
