What is your least favorite holiday? Why?

My least favorite day is Valentine’s day because it puts a lot of pressure on everyone's love life. If I am in a relationship, Valentine’s Day gives me expectations and if I am single I feel bad for being single.

Hey CNet!

Who are you when you are hungry? Does your personality change? Do you become more irritable? What is the name of your hungry alter ego?

I love those Snickers commercials that are like, "You're not you, when you are hungry." They are so funny because they are absolutely right. I am not Erin when I am hungry! I would name my alter ego Gwyneth because hungry Erin is a little extra sarcastic with a twist.

Hey CNet!

Are the people of today more concerned with how life looks or how it feels? What are you more concerned with? What role does social media play?

In class today, this topic came up and I thought it was really interesting. I remembered my friends in highshool that always needed to take pictures whenever we did anything remotely fun. I am all about capturing the moment, but I think they just wanted to make it look like they were having more fun than they were.

Hey CNet!

Is confidence the same as being social? Why or why not?

I made a new friend today and this topic came up. We were talking about how when we met we didn't act very out-going because we didn't feel very confident. We started to wonder if the two things were the same or if they just correlated.

Personally, I think they are the same. When I am feeling confident in myself, I am extremely outgoing. I am sure of myself so I am more likely to talk with new people.

Subject: Naps!

Hey Cnet!

Do you take naps? For how long? How often? If not, id there any reason?

So, I am currently in Spain studying Spanish and here they have a thing called siesta. Siesta is basically a 2-hour period in the middle of the day where everything is closed, and people go home and take a nap. It is a nationwide thing and it is absolutely heavenly!

I cannot believe how much more productive I am with a mid-day nap! I have a clear head and I can start fresh mid-day! This is a tradition I will definitely adopt.

Do you like taking walks?

I have heard all the benefits long walks have on your mind and body, but I never really enjoyed doing it. I have never really been in an environment where there are fun places to walk to. However, now that I am in Europe, I love walking everywhere! I feel good and I sort my thoughts! It is therapeutic like writing!

Subject: Tipping

Forum: Tipping
Hey CNET!

Do you tip? Do you think tips should just be included in the price like it is in other countries? Or do you prefer our system?

Honestly, I wish tipping wasn’t a thing. I have been waitress/ bartender for 5 years and I really wish it was included in the price.

I hate the way people try to control me with a tip. A lot of people think my smiles are fake so I can get their money. I don’t like it. Plus tipping gives customers the power to be passive-aggressive and tell me I did a bad job. I wish I could just socialize without the pressure of a tip.

Other countries have it right. Tipping should be just part of the bill so the servers and customer don’t have that awkward pressure.

How careful are you online? What safety precautions do you take to protect yourself when you are online?

Honestly, I do not do a lot to protect myself online. There are so many smart computer hackers out there. I could be at more risk then I realize. I have taken some minor steps to protect my phone and my accounts, but I would like to do more.

What do you do to protect yourself?

Subject: Under Pressure?

Forum: Under Pressure?
Hey CNet!

How do you act under pressure? Are you cool headed and excel? Or do you fall apart? Maybe you act an entirely different way?

I surprisingly thrive under pressure. I know what I need to do, I see the clear path, and I get it done. It is like I go into super mode and I am completely focused on my objective.

My mom is the complete opposite. She panics and shuts down. She can usually power through, but not without dome major costs to her wellbeing.

Hey CNet!

How Patient are you? Can you keep a good attitude when you must wait for long periods of time?

Joyce Meyer said that, "patience is not the ability to wait but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting." It is so true! Whether you are patient or not, you still have to wait the same amount of time.

I would say that I am very impatient! I want to know now, I want to have it now! No matter what it may be, I want it as soon as possible! However, I tend to stay in pretty good spirits, even when waiting. So, I guess by Joyce's definition, I am patient! Haha!
