Forum: Should high schools provide daycare services for
Howdy Kamila,

At my high school there was like 3 students with children. I would say if a high school has students with children, then yes they should try there best to work it into the budget daycare services. It is integral to us creating a strong society for these students to not have to worry about their children needs being met while gaining an education. Really, the pay off won't be immediate, but it will happen in the future!

Howdy Slynch,

I am happy with my current GPA in my masters program. I currently have a 3.75 GPA, it was 4.0, but I fell asleep before completing my assignments one night and it tanked my grade. My GPA is a huge step up from my under graduate degree where I got a 2.9 GPA.

Howdy Morgan,

I've taken Summer classes for the past 3 years and will be doing so again this year. I tend to stay in school year round, but I am starting to feel like taking a few months break. Maybe once I finish my Master's degree I can take a break before stating up a Doctorate or Career.

Howdy Jon,

I've already completed my final paper, but have summer classes starting up next week. If I have a final exam to do, how I prepare is two-three days prior start to cram study. Review everything and make sure I have as close to a complete understanding as possible. The day before the exam though, just relax and take a break. Being well-rested will benefit you so much more than trying to cram anymore last minute.

Howdy Thankful,

Present - Best: Math, Worst: History

Past - Best: Math, Worst: Psychology

I've never been good at remember names, history was such a difficult class. I wasn't good at psychology, but took that up as my major and have improved tremendously in that realm.

Howdy Song,

I would choose a full-time job, if it went toward my career choice. I would never choose to stop my education, since you can lose a job at any moment and an education sticks. In the end we go to school to gain the knowledge for our career. Never lose sight of why you're going to school. If given the choice to kick-start my career, I would gladly jump at it. Some of the most influential people in the world never even got a college degree.

A long commute absolutely sucks, I would suck it up if the job gave me access to my ambitions though.

It is your choose though, don't make a decision purely based off of what others would do. What are you prepared for? What do you want at this step in your life?

Subject: Re: Teacher Student Sex Scandals and Double Standards

Forum: Teacher Student Sex Scandals and Double Standards
Howdy Andy Nash,

At my past high school there were 2 sex scandals. One was with a female guidance counselor and the other with a male teacher. The male teacher was accused multiple times, by multiple students, however was never found guilty. There was also very little media attention put onto this teacher. The female guidance counselor on the other end was given a tremendous amount of media attention before being found guilty and she was later found guilty.

For the most part, I don't think anyone should live in fear for the sons or daughters. Sexual assault cases have actually went down in the past 20 years (https://www.rainn.org/statistics/scope-problem). I think the media is just trying to push the stories that will get the most eyes. Society definitely sees males less impacted by sexual assaults, however I don't think many people view them as not impacted at all. Pretty much everyone agrees that sexual assault is bad for any child impacted though.

Howdy francinelowe,

To me if I am not doing what I love, then it is not worth doing. Almost everything you do in this world can be turned into something productive. I have a passion for leading and as a result am going for a degree in industrial organizational psychology. While school isn't the fun part, I look forward to doing a career that I love.

Howdy NjBr,

I do not use a planner. I use google calendar to stay on top of everything. In Highschool I used to use a planner for everything.

Howdy NjBr,

I have mine and my friends glasses ready. We also have an extra one to use if one of ours breaks or we need to give one out. I would buy your glasses now cause as the date gets closer to the eclipse the price will just increase.

I think this is a day worth closing schools for. Holidays come every year, an eclipse is a once in a life-time experience.
