Forum: Illegal Immigrants!!
I agree with mtomey00 and Jessibear. Of course, I agree with a lot more people too. Quite honestly, I believe this whole Immigration thing started all over again because Bush is redneck, white trash, trailer park hillbilly who dislikes Mexican's because of who he is. But that's just my opinion. I was born in a Mexican (not Hispanic, MEXICAN) community, and I have been growning up with these people legal and illegal. I understand everyone is angry because they "Don't have the right to be here," BUT, have you ever tried to get a visa or citizenship in another country? Or have you come here from another Non-English speaking country? Probably not. And if you have, then you know how hard it is and how long it takes, especially if you're a little short on the money clip. As far as immigrants taking jobs, I think most are underestimating what some people are willing to do. You don't see any immigrant C.E.O. or multi-millionaire's popping up do you? I sure don't...

Forum: Supplements, Steroids, or Nothing At All?
Recently I have started a no supplement, all natural workout program. No N.O. Boosters, Creatine, Protein shakes (due to the Cholesterol levels), no Multivitamin, no NOTHING! So far it has been satisfactory, and I seem to have more agility and energy during sprints and cardiovascular activities (probably due to the fact I stopped taking "Weight Gainers"). I have never taken steroids, never really cared to have 3% body fat that much. I'm sure I can get there on my own without that stuff too. Anyway:

So what do all you Athletes think? Have you had success with a multitude of supplements? Unsuccessful with some? Does Insulin, Andro, Winstrol and other anabolic agents help you more than anything you thought possible? Do you get leaner with or without supplements? All these questions and more! Feel free to ask some yourself.

Thanks!

Patriots are going to lose to the Steelers I think. And it's going to be the Patriots and the Dallas Cowboys in the Super Bowl baby!!! Then Dallas is going to take the gold one more year and add another ring to the pages of history.

Old school (late eighties to late nineties) were pretty hardcore. The struggle, the fights, the poverty, etc. Real instruments being used and real passion. Now it's all pretty much chain's, cars, and songs that don't make sense (Solja Boy). Don't give up hope! Bone Thugs N' Harmony are tryin' to come back and the Wu Tang Clan as well. Maybe Old school will come back with the best of new school. Lol. By the way Pimp C passed away earlier this morning in a Los Angelos hotel room. See you in the next life Pimp.

And of course R.I.P. ODB, Tupac, Biggie, and all the rest.

What inspires me? Hmm... What inspires me the most has to be those that are willing to fight even though defeat or even death is inevitable. An underdog in a fight is inspiration for me. Individuals or groups fighting for what they are most passionate about. Love, freedom, whatever you want to call it. Seeing your teammate push that last rep out in your twenty third set in a workout is inspiration. Everyone who has fought in a ring, in a cage, in a forign land, and in a relationship inspires me. Those before and those surely to come after my time. Inspiration is in the air, in nature, and in each individual spirit around us.

You inspire me.

Forum: Exercise
Exercise is a must for everyone! From young teenagers to adults in their late fifties early sixties. So much to benefit from. Adding years onto your life, having a good physique, competition. I have been into Football, Boxing, Wrestling, and Rugby since high school. Afterwards, I had no form of competition so I continued intense strength and conditioning workouts. Shortly after entering college, I began doing Muay Thai and Submission Wrestling. Then later moving onto Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Which of course fueled passion for Mixed Martial Arts which I am doing today on an amature level. I think most people associate exercise with running on a treadmill and bench pressing. There is so much more than that! Go to a park, throw some rocks, climb some tree's! Hit a tire with a sledgehammer (preferrably not attached to anything). The perfect stress release.

Subject: English Only Movement: Yes or No?

Forum: English Only Movement: Yes or No?
Since the Luisiana Purchase angry so called Patriotic American's have discussed and debated the use of other languages in the United States. President Theodore Roosevelt said: "We have room for but one language in this country, and that is the English language, for we intend to see that the crucible turns our people out as Americans, of American nationality, and not as dwellers in a polyglot boarding house." in 1906. As well as the U.S. Senate and President George W. Bush have tried to pursue this movement to make English the official languages in the United States. The only group that seems to be opposing and fighting this policy is the Linguistic Society of America, in which they stated in 1986: "'English only' measures on the grounds that they are based on misconceptions about the role of a common language in establishing political unity, and that they are inconsistent with basic American traditions of linguistic tolerance." ( http://www.lsadc.org/info/lsa-res-english.cfm ). I disagree with the policy. An English Only movement further presses the opinion of American's that anyone who speaks another language or rather does not speak English, are ignorant and unAmerican. Of course, this is just my opinion. While going through college (still going) I am attempting to learn two or three languages as well as associate myself with linguistic clubs. I believe that English only causes discrimination and prevents further learning of a great art.

Everyone expects people of other nations to know English before they move or visit the U.S. But how many people learn German, French, Hindi, or Spanish before going to their respected countries?

Just curious as to what everyone else thinks.

This topic always brings the words of religion up. An oldschool book loosely based on how people lived several thousand years ago. It is true that in Leviticus, the third book of the Bible, that it mentions something about one man laying with another man. But in the next chapter, it tells of men having their children stoned to death for being disobedient. Exodus 21:7 gives a father permission to prostitute his daughter. You can interpret it as a father giving his praise for his daughter to get married, but that's not what it says. Just leave everyone alone and enjoy your life! What does one man loving another man or one woman loving another woman have to do with you? How will that affect your life in ANY possible way?
