Forum: Movies based on books
Hi!

I like watching movies based on books just because it's interesting to see how one artist interprets and transform the work of another artist! I don't expect them to be exactly the same, but I don't like it when they're completely changed or botched either.

Thanks for the post!
Good .ucl for this election :)

Forum: Abstinence or Safe Intimacy?
Hi CNet!

Do you think that schools should teach students to abstain from all sexual activity except the time you decide to reproduce(1984 style)? Why?

Or do you think schools should teach students to practice safe sex and provide them with birth control(Brave New World style)? Why?

I look forward to hearing from you! Have a lovely day!

Hi!
I'd say my water bottle. It's pretty much my comfort zone. I bring it with me everywhere I go.

Thanks for the forum. All the best!

Hi!

My neighborhood is one of the safest in the US. I don't have to worry about going out at night on my own. You rarely hear anything bad happening around here. I love where I live! I hope college is just as safe to!

Forum: Robots Creating Robots!
Hi Tera!

Great post! There's this really cool youtube video that talks about this topic. It's called Humans Need Not Apply -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Pq-S557XQU
Basically, it talks about how from the beginning we've tried to come up with tools and methods to make our lives and jobs easier. From tools, to industrialization, to robots and computers. Slowly machines are taking over our jobs and lives. First it was simple factory work, now machines can perform surgery, drive automatically, and even create art. And like you mentioned, machines can now create other machines; and software programs can now write their own software. It's insane. We've given robots a mind of their own. Eventually we'll reach a point where we will all be unemployed without any fault of our own. Kinda like Wall-E.
It's pretty scary!

Thanks for posting! All the best for this election cycle!
Have a great day!

Hi friends!

The cost of education is crazy for our generation. Do you think two years of community college should be free for students? Why? What else can the government do to control/reduce the cost of a college education?

Hi Candice!

You bring up a very controversial topic worthy of discussion! Most politicians just don't want to discuss or do anything about it because of our society's tendency to not clearly talk about sex, sex ed, and sexual health. To avoid this discussion, they just made prostitution illegal and closed the topic there. But this decision has a huge impact on forced sex slavery.

I'm not sure if you were aware, but if a sex slave(someone who was forced into prostitution) comes out to the police or the law for help, they won't be helped first, they will be arrested! This makes it much harder for such people to get out of forced prostitution and get help for themselves. It also makes it harder for people who want to be prostitutes by choice to work ethically and legally.

I believe prostitution should be legal because it is a paid service like any other. Getting a massage or a medical treatment involves extensive physical contact. The government regulates what doctors and masseuses can and cannot do. Similarly, they can set regulations - birth control, vaccines, and STD prevention- for prostitutes and people paying for sex.

More importantly, I believe that prostitution should be legal because it will have a twofold benefit. Firstly, people forced into sex slavery will be able to come out and get help without the fear of being arrested or without being criminals. Secondly, people who willingly want to be prostitutes can do their jobs safely, and with government regulations. The overall impact will be reduced sex slavery because more willing prostitutes will be regulated by the government. And more forced sex slaves will be able to get the advocacy and help they need without fear of being charged as a criminal. This is less important compared to the other benefits, but prostitutes make a lot of money, and taxing that income also helps the government.

Hi ReemaTotlani!

I love summers! I love tropical weather, but unfortunately I live in Chicago. The winters aren't too bad, but I prefer the summers.

Hi!

I usually keep my class material because the underclassmen who will be taking that class ask for it. I also share some of my stuff with my brother, and he uses it to practice over summer before he takes that class himself. Some people at my school even sell their class materials!

Thanks for the post! All the best for this election cycle!

Have a great day!
