Forum: How often do you sit in traffic?
Hello!

It is crazy to me to think that in different parts of the country, some people never hit traffic!

There are very few times that the beltway near me does not have traffic. It is always congested. The only times you won't hit traffic are around 10:30-11:30AM and after 7:30PM. I am getting ready to drive down to DC for my boyfriends soccer game and I am getting ready to sit in traffic for a while...

Hello!

I ordered this book one year off of Amazon that I found called 2015 scholarships. As I read through it, there were so many requirements for so many of them. Many of them had to do with race and did not apply to me. I thought I was going to have wasted $30 instead of actually getting money for college and making it worth it.

Finally I found Collegenet as one of the scholarships. When I came on this website, I was thinking that there was no way this was real because it was too good to be true. However, it was in my book which was legit and I even looked it up to see if people actually got their money they won and it was all true! Ever since I have been on and off doing college net and the book has definitely paid for itself!

Hello!

My last google search was actually on my boyfriends phone about how to get rid of the white screen of death on my phone!

Apparently that is something iPhones do sometimes. It was terrible and I was so scared. It kept saying to turn it off but it wouldn't even turn off! I got so nervous I took it to the verizon store right away and she plugged it in and it went away.

Hello!

Considering I am an elementary education major, yes I still read children's books! Last year I was an intern in a 2nd grade class so the books weren't super exciting. Now I am an intern in a 4th grade classroom and I love the books we are reading. The best current children's book is definitely "Wonder."

My favorite book series from when I was a kid was "Magic Tree House." I also read all the Harry Potter books.

Hello!

What doctor do you like going to the least.

I hate going to the dentist. I have been getting cards in the mail saying i am due for an appointment and i have been avoiding it, telling myself I'm too busy when that is just an excuse.

Hello!

For me sororities were never important. I am the same way with just never being friends with girls. I like sports and I play softball, I like to draw, and babysit on my Saturday nights.

Also the sorority at my school costs $1,000 and I am not trying to like pay for friends. I just don't get the whole fact that you are assigned a big or a little and then you are automatically best friends no matter what.

Hello!

I am really not sure about what I want them funeral service stuff to be like. The only thing I know is i want to be cremated. It means more to me if my ashes are scattered somewhere like the beach. That way my loved ones can just think of me whenever they are at the beach. Rather than visiting a sad cemetary. Also I love the beach and being scattered there sounds better than being in the ground.

Hello!

I am also embarrassed to say that I have some stuffed animals I still sleep with to this day. I have three: An elmo who really does look like a monster now because his fur has worn away because I have had him since I was one. I also have a Teddy Bear who I have had for 4 years that my boyfriend got for free with earrings he got me. Finally, I have a blanket with tags on it because since I was little I have had this weird thing about rubbing tags between my fingers until they fall apart.

You are welcome for this embarrassing information about myself and thank you for showing me that I am not alone!

Hello!

I am graduating this May 2018!!! Woohoo! I am working toward my bachelor's in elementary education. Next year I will get my own classroom with my own students and that is excitingly terrifying.

I will work toward my masters, also probably slowly. I will wait until after one year though because the county I plan on working in will pay for half of my masters if I join a cohort, but I have to teach for a year first.

Hello!

Do you think ADHD is overdiagnosed in today's society?

I hear this all the time. However, I think it used to be underdiagnosed! You could be an adult and have it but your parents just used a very strict environment to deal with you as a child. Even though people say we are coddling kids too much today, I think getting these kids on medication or learning how to deal with their hyperactivity will help so many people in the long run.
