Forum: Innocence
I feel like I have always seen the good in people throughout my life. I went through a bad time where I was using drugs and that stripped away my innocence I think. Seeing the good in people was not always good for me. I was taken advantage of many times because I did see that one good thing about the person instead of all the bad. I could see the bad but I know there is good in everyone at least a little so I gave people more chances then I should have.

Since I had a baby in September, I decided to start out with some online classes. These last two semesters I have had two or three classes online and then one or two on campus which worked well with my schedule. I find it easier to learn for me and go at my pace. I will be switching to a completely online college called WGU in July. Brittney Williamson, I am also trying to get my major in business Human Resource and was wondering what online school you attend? I have been trying to find the best one thats going to work for me.

Subject: A Chalanging Dilema

Forum: A Chalanging Dilema
Im still on the topic of morals and moral decisions. I was watching this short clip in my psychology about a story line in M*A*S*H that has to do with moral dilemmas and how the brain wrestles with this.

A bus full of people has to hide from enemy soldiers. One of their soldiers tells everyone on the bus to be quiet and to not make a sound until they pass. But a baby that starts to cry endangers everybodys life. In M*A*S*H Hawkeye urges the mother to keep the baby quiet. You then see the mother trying to cover the crying babys mouth us against her chest and all of a sudden the baby stops crying and lifeless cause she smothered it. You would have to watch it to really get the emotion from this scene. She had to choose between smothering her baby or risking getting caught by the soldiers where they would kill her and her baby anyway. She choose to smother her baby to save everyone elses lives.

What do you think about this clip? Was what she did moral?

FalconMarie I love that commercial too! Its so true when you have kids you dont get a sick day! I also saw a post on facebook "Mommy Flu: Its like regular flu except no one gives a sh$%!" :)

I think the worst is when you have a headache. Depending on how bad it is, which a cold headache is always worse cause it just barely hangs around but enough to make you miserable. You cant think and I usually just want to go to sleep and hope to wake up feeling better!

If I feel that I am in the right and that the other person was in the wrong I will not apologize. I will also never apologize for something I didn't do!

In the past, Ive followed my heart and it has only led me stray. If I tend to use my head for making decisions that my heart thinks it wants the situation most of the time turns out good! :)

In my psychology class we are discussing morality and ethics. They use the example of the "Heinz Dilemma" for moral development, which if any of you arent familar with this here is the story:

A woman was near death from a special kind of cancer. There was one drug that the doctors thought might save her. It was a form of radium that a druggist in the same town had recently discovered. The drug was expensive to make, but the druggist was charging ten times what the drug cost him to produce. He paid $200 for the radium and charged $2,000 for a small dose of the drug. The sick woman's husband, Heinz, went to everyone he knew to borrow the money, but he could only get together about $1,000 which is half of what it cost. He told the druggist that his wife was dying and asked him to sell it cheaper or let him pay later. But the druggist said: “No, I discovered the drug and I'm going to make money from it.” So Heinz got desperate and broke into the man's laboratory to steal the drug for his wife. Should Heinz have broken into the laboratory to steal the drug for his wife? Why or why not?

What is your answer for this question? Is his decision moral?

My most treasure possession would be my pictures that I have. You can NEVER get back a moment that a picture captures. I never had very many baby pictures and I wish she would of took more. I take a picture of Ryder at least everyday! Pictures mean so much and if I ever lost all my photos I would be extremely upset.
