I think my favorite MJ song would have to be Thriller. I just like the groove and the dance. But I do enjoy all of his music anytime it comes on. It just is feel good music!

I was brought up by a cook/baker. So I definitely have been blessed with knowledge of cooking. With that said I can whip up great pastries, breads, and desserts. I of course also can grill meat pretty well, whether it is steaks or burgers or chicken. I think this fall I will try some turkey and other colder weather dishes.

I did study abroad while in college. I spent a semester in Vienna, Austria. I took some international business classes alongside intensive German and Austrian History and Literature. Vienna is an amazing city. They have so much to offer in ways of culture and history. Vienna is home to some of my favorite museums and let us not forget about their amazing cafes!

My time in Vienna was my first time out of the United States. My class schedule was Tuesday through Thursday I would have two to three classes spread throughout the day, for some we would meet at a cafe or biergartel or a park. Then that left Friday through Monday for travels and exploration. Usually I took the full weekend and would travel by train to the surrounding countries. I pretty much was able to visit most of mainland Europe during my semester. My favorite city, other than Vienna, would be Barcelona!

Good Friday to you all, hope you all are excited for the weekend!!

Anybody have big plans in store?

This weekend my fiance and I will be starting our scuba certification training. I am really excited and cannot wait to get in the water. We plan on scuba diving on our honeymoon this October, so it should be a lot of fun!

Here is today's profound question for you to answer:

What’s the one thing you would like to change about yourself?

Forum: Your most accessed Social Media?
By default I would say I spend most of my time with Social Media on Facebook. Though I keep telling myself I need to limit my time on Facebook and try to move to another site or decrease overall social media exposure in general. I find that I waste a lot of time either watching random videos or scrolling through people's photos.

I probably need to start being more productive with my time spent on the internet, maybe trying to make more money or something through content creation rather than consuming content.

Howdy all! It has been some time since I last logged in, needed to take some time off for family matters, but I should be back on regularly now.

So this past weekend my fiance and I got a kitten to add to our little family, we also have a chocolate lab. So far this week has been good. She knows how to take care of herself and hasn't needed much except for food and clean water. I think last night she finally started showing signs of warming up to the lab, as he is quite larger than her. I hope they start playing with each other and keep each other company throughout the day.

Do you have a pet? What kind of pet do you have? Is your pet a part of the family? Please feel free to share a funny story about you and your pet!

I have taken a few breaks over the time I have been on CollegeNet. I too find it difficult to get back in the groove of things. I am coming back from a few months of inactivity due to some family matters and also I was starting to feel disconnected with my writing and responses. I felt discouraged because I was putting in the time daily but not seeing any progress on the leaderboards. So I decided to give it a few months and let some new people filter in before starting up again.

So far the past day or so I have seen some more activity. Hopefully I can stay on track and get my last 4 wins in before the end of the year.

Hi Erin,

I was paying quite a bit of cash for my school while I was a student, then when I graduated I was lucky enough to find a good paying job. I have been able to aggressively pay down my debt, especially with the help of CollegeNet. I am now down to about $1,200 left after 3 years of graduating and starting with over $23,000 in student debt. I had to take a break from CollegeNet these past few months for some family matters, but I hope to jump back on the train and get these last few wins in before the end of the year!

Forum: College Athletes: Should We Discourage Transfers?
I don't fully understand all of the rules in NCAA, however I know that the majority, if not all of their rules are in place to prevent unethical behavior from the school and the student athletes. For instance, student athletes in NCAA schools cannot gamble or accept gifts unless the entire team or student group receives the same gift.

I think if a student is wanting to transfer then they should be able to without being penalized financially. Mainly because these dollars are scholarship dollars and not cash paid to the student. The dollars are being used to pay for tuition and room and board and such. This rule might have been lobbied for by the schools to cut down on the instances where students could hop from school to school until they found a team where they were the big fish. But I think hopping between schools purely for athletics is a poor choice for the student athlete. They need to factor in academics and campus life before jumping to the last school to win a championship title.

Most rules seem dumb, but I agree with the NCAA because it keeps the students and the organizations accountable and ethical.

I don't plan on going to see it, though I live in the 95% range, so I might get to see something from where I live.

I didn't take off from work because I am saving my time off for my honeymoon coming this October.
