Hi Hbee!

I'm always learning new things on collegenet! I love when someone posts an interesting or new forum that I have never seen before and reveals something that I didn't know about. Also, I love when people have a different opinion than I do on some things because then I get to read the reasons why they feel a certain way about subjects and understand where they are coming from. Posting on cnet has never been a chore for me. I think its fun and exciting to see what other people from across the U.S. and even in other countries have to say. And like you, I enjoy the forums that allow me to remember events of my past and reminisce about the "good ol' times" lol.

Have a great day!

Forum: Are you Athletic?
Hey guys!

I've recently begun to realize that I'm not as athletic as I used to be. I don't go outside or play sports like I did when I was in high school. I played basketball from the time I was 7 to 8th grade. I was very good too (not bragging, lol). I played the position of point guard. Then in high school i was in the marching band, so I was still being athletic even though I stopped playing basketball competitively. But when I started college, I didn't do band or play a sport, so I'm no longer in athletic shape, lol. Sometimes I really miss playing basketball and being in the marching band. That's why I'm looking for a gym to start back playing basketball in.

Are you Athletic? What sports did/do you play? If you aren't athletic, do you ever wish that you were?

Have a great day!

Good morning!

If the 2016 election was redone I don't think Trump would have even became the Republican candidate. I'm not sure if Clinton would have won, but I definitely don't think anyone(well not anyone , there will still be people who think Trump is greatest even though he treats women like crap and is trying to take away their health care. But I don't think would get enough votes) is gonna vote for Trump again. He lost the popular vote the first time anyway.

I'm not a Republican, but there were definitely better choices of a candidate besides Trump, so I think one of them would be the Republican candidate of we were to redo the whole 2016 election.

Have nice day!

Forum: Watching Movies
Hey Lulu!

I would prefer to watch movies in the theater. There's nothing like watching a great action flick on the big screen with surround sound. However, because going to the movie theater can be costly I stick to watching movies in the comfort of my own home. Unless there is a movie that I feel needs to be watched in the theater (like my favorite superhero movies) then I will cough up the dough to go watch them on the big screen.

Forum: How do you feel about Beauty Pageants?
Hi Cnet!

Last night, I was on YouTube watching old episodes of Jimmy Kimmel and I came across this episode with Tom Hanks where he did a parody of Toddlers and Tiaras. It was hilarious! It made fun of the way the parents (mostly mothers) act toward their children on the real show.

I have seen the real show a few times, when it was still on air, and I always hated how it seemed like it was the parents who were forcing these children that were as young as 2 years old to participate in these pageants. These little girls were caked in make-up, some spray tanned, made to wear outrageous wigs or have their hair in some grown woman hairdo, and more. I even saw where a woman went to a dentist and gave her daughter fake teeth because she was toothless and she didn't think being toothless was cute and didn't want her daughter to lose because of it.

It isn't just shows like Toddlers and Tiaras that put me off on pageants, though it is the one I hate the most. Even adult pageants, such as the Miss America pageants make me feel like all they do is give examples of how society thinks women should look and act. I know that a lot of pageants give scholarship money and that's great! But I still think the messages that these pageants send to little girls is that you have to look a certain way to be accepts by society.

Have you or anyone close to you ever participated in pageants? Did you/they want to or someone else wanted them to? Do you think pageants have a positive or negative impact on young girls? Would you let your daughter participate in pageants?

Hey Jessica!

An interesting fact about me is that I write screenplays. I've already written 2 full length movies (60 - 90 pages) and a bunch of short films. I have yet to have them produced, but I do plan on filming a few of my short films sometime soon once I get enough money and actors to start the process. If there are any actors near Atlanta, Georgia HMU! Lol.

Have a great day!

Hi Sammy!

I don't spend as much time outside as I'd like. There are some days when I just don't feel like doing anything and I'll stay inside all day lounging and watching TV. I know that's not healthy and I plan on making sure that I dedicate more time to going outside for some fresh air. I used to go outside all the time in my old neighborhood, but when I moved I didn't have any friends near me so I started spending more time inside than I should. I'm currently looking for a new gym so that I can start back playing basketball and exercising regularly.

Thanks for the forum!

Hey yb!

My mother is a retired county worker. She's been retired for about two years now. But now she has part time job cleaning the house of this family. She only works 3 days a week and is done by 1230pm.

My dad works at the airport. He does maintenance work on the air conditioners and stuff through the whole airport.

Hey cnet!

Do you think that reality tv shows give proof of certain stereotypes? Do you think that shows like Bad Girls Club, The Real World, and Love and Hip Hop Atlanta give certain races or ethnicities a bad rep?

If given the opportunity would you participate in a reality tv show? Why or Why not?

Have a great night!

Hey Love0390!

I'm no where near ready for children right now, but I do want 2 kids. I don't want my child to be alone, so that's why I want 2. Maybe 3 if I feel strong enough after the first 2, lol. I want a boy and a girl. I want the boy to be first so that my daughter can have an older brother that will look out for her (and intimidate guys that try to get in her pants, lol, jk...kinda). Like Kyle said, I don't want my kids to be too far apart; 2-4 years apart seems like a good enough age range to me. However, I am worried about having twins. Twins run in my family on both my dad and mom's side so there is an extremely high chance that I could have them. I am so afraid of raising two babies at the same time! I don't know if I will be able to handle it if that happens, lol. I also almost dated an identical twin in high school, lol, I cant imagine what would have happened if we dated and ended up having children together, hehe.
