Forum: What is your ideal length for a trip?
This is such a good question. My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon. We are going to Africa, and I think we should stay at least 10 days, since it's going to take almost 2 days to get there, and he thinks we'll be bored after 6 or 7 days and should just fly home.

For me, it really depends on the kind of trip. A couple of days if I'm visiting family. 5 days if it's domestic. At least 10 if it's international.

Hey there!

One thing that's been really interesting for me—since I'm doing an online Master's program—is getting to read other people's discussion posts.

I spend A LOT of time reading the material, understanding it, and trying to communicate the fact that I actually understand it, and I can tell that not everyone else is working quite as hard. And to be honest, I'm pretty sure I'm not getting a WAY better grade...

All of this to say, I'm getting mostly high A's (although, I think I just bombed an exam yesterday because the power went out in the middle of it and I got super stressed and didn't finish in time), but I would be ok with getting B's and if it meant I didn't have to work so hard... I just don't know how to not work so hard.

How are your grades? How hard are you working? Do you wish you didn't have to work so hard?

Hey all!

I literally fell off the face of the earth because school is KILLING me. I thought I would be fine to take 2 classes in an 8-week semester, and I was wrong. I am still working (2) jobs, and I am planning a wedding, and it's literally too much.

Have you ever taken a condensed semester?
Have you ever felt like you just cannot handle it?

I need some words of encouragement right now.

I have a sonicare toothbrush and I love it. I also have an airflosser which is the single best dental care purchase I have ever made. My dentist says it's the closest thing to flossing that's not flossing (better than a waterpiq), and I use it twice a day.

How strict is your schedule?

Do you schedule things in 15-minute increments (I do!)

Or do you go with the flow and hope you can fit it all in?

Do you always do certain things on certain days of the week (e.g. grocery shopping, laundry, etc...) or do you do it whenever you have time?

I am VERY scheduled, and with school having just started, I'm working on rearranging things so I can fit it all in.

Eww. I hate having my picture taken. I always feel self-conscious about my arms or my face or something dumb, so I just avoid it all together.

I LOVE photography, though. I love pictures of other people and still life, but my own vanity is perpetually getting in the way of me having any documentation of my own life. My fiance hates it. We have MAYBE 4 good photos of us together.

That’s awful. I’m so sorry that happened to you. I’ve never been mugged but I’ve been pick pocketed and even that feels like a violation, so I can’t even imagine being mugged.

It's my first day back at school in 10 years.

What's your best advice?

I'm already kind of freaking out with the course load, but I'm taking it one step at a time.

The idea seems like it would be a lot of fun, but then i think about the responsibility of driving and maintaining an RV, and it really loses its appeal.

I am a big fan of things being easy. I feel like life is sufficiently busy and complicated. I don’t need to complicate my travel.

Cashew butter. Hands down.

I have to restrain myself from eating it by the spoonful!
