I was bitter when I graduated so abruptly.

Like a petulant 14 year old not ready to go to high school.

Collegenet gave me more than money.

It gave me a place to matter.

It gave me a sense of importance.

So while I haven't been here in a while I reflect fondly on my time spent here.

Like someone reflecting fondly on college.

It made my student debt manageable from insurmountable.

It taught me to recognize genuine people from manipulative people.

It taught me social cues to know when people are BS.

It paid me for the opportunity to interact with like-minded and not so like-minded individuals.

Which teaches tolerance or anger.

Because you want to be tolerant of good people on the wrong page and angry at people in the wrong book.

It is a great tool to learn. Never forget that.

Here you might run the risk of getting paid to learn, what a novel idea.

Challenge yourself this year to give it a go.

Dedicate 10 to 20 hours a week to this and treat it like a job that pays way more than minimum wage.

Well, if done right.

Or better yet an internship in life.
