Forum: Do you have any scars?
I have a scar underneath my nose from where I hit it on my Razor scooter and then on the driveway when I was 7 or 8. I wasn't even doing cool tricks or anything. I just got distracted, hit a bump, and went down hard. Hello to the lamest broken nose story ever, (but I told all my friends I got into a fight.)

I always carry a reusable water bottle with me. Plastic water bottles are a big waste of money and plastic- unless you live in an area where the tap water isn't clean. But if it is safe to drink, I highly recommend everyone buying a reusable bottle (and a filter, if necessary). Save some money, save the planet!

Subject: Can you cook?

Forum: Can you cook?
As a college student, my cooking skills are limited to making Ramen in the microwave. When I'm home, I help my mom out with simple things but other than that, I'm pretty much culinarily illiterate. What about you? Can you cook? Where did you learn? What are some of your favorite dishes to make?

Thanks for reading!

I try to put as much faith in doctors/experts/professionals as possible, but when there's a feeling in your gut that something is wrong you have to listen to it.

I went to my doctor over acne, which sounds trivial, but it really came out of nowhere. My skin has always been on the oilier side with minor flare-ups here and there- but literally over the span of a week I had severe breakouts and my skin became extremely dry. I told my doctor and he waved it off saying it was my diet and stress but rather than giving me a diet plan or anti-anxiety pills, he gave me a topical that did nothing. I then went to a dermatologist who gave me some antibiotics which worked wonderfully until I realized from some research my acne was related to a condition called PCOS. If I had taken what my doctor said, my skin would still be awful.

The older I get the more I realize that no one knows as much as they say they do, and they most definitely aren't the only ones with an opinion. It's always good to hear other thoughts and do research on the side to make sure you are well educated.

Good job taking things into your own hands. I hope you find the guidance you need and wish you and your family well.

I have the same problem. I have a difficult time making friends because I'm usually pretty quiet and keep to myself. This, on top of my anxiety/depression, makes it hard to not only make friends but to find the motivation to try. I'm trying to get more involved on campus, so maybe I will be open up in a place where people have similar interests.

Good luck to you!
