I am a full time student. I commute to Whitewater for classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and then I work part-time at a bank in my hometown on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

    Hey Jenelu,

I too am a full time student but don't work these days. I'm paying off the heavy graduation fees with my parent's money and student loan. Hopefully I can manage next semesters with CNet scholarship and if I get some assistantship in my depatment.

I work as a full time student as well. Beside that, I'm working few hours at a repairing stores that we own.

Re: What do you do for work right now?

    Hello,

Personally, my college schedule is very busy, so I have to have a work schedule where I can control my hours. Currently, I teach guitar lessons on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, and fortunately my hours are very flexible. I also do work for my professors that I fit in between classes.

Re: What do you do for work right now?

    Hi there Jenelu :)

I only work two hours a week as I am going to school full time as well and prefer to focus on my studies! But working two hours a week is just a nice source of income that allows me to go out for boba without feeling guilty haha. I currently work on campus at the chapel and I set up mass and clean up after as well!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

    Much love,
    Elisa

Re: What do you do for work right now?

    Hey,

There is nothing wrong with going to school full-time and not working, if you can afford it. I unfortunately, cannot. I work at the Lake County Sheriff's office, where I run the digital forensics lab. It is a great job, with lots of benefits. I am expecting a promotion to an analyst, any day now. The sheriff says he is working on creating an analyst position. So I am super excited. I plan on staying with LCSO until I graduate from grad school. After that, I will go to a federal law enforcement agency.

    Hi everyone,

I am unemployed again at the moment so I am looking for a job. Before that I was working at a call center, talking on the phone and providing administrative work to my department. My colleague were somewhat nice people, my boss was a 2 faced lady with no sense of wright or wrong. Have a good day.

Re: What do you do for work right now?

    Hello jenelurose and all,

I am employed part-time as an assistant for a collection agency. It mainly consists of skip-tracing, general research, and lots of forms. Skip-tracing means that I locate people, their assets, home, relatives, and contact information. We mainly use skip-tracing for finding Debtors (people that have been sued and lost/owe money) that are not compliant. We'll use their information for mediation (working out a lower payment option) and for collection through property liens, seizing wages, bank levies, etc. We also just sometimes locate people that other people need to locate for other reasons such as the process of service (serving court documents) when individuals are being evasive.

It's an interesting job and definitely opened my eyes to how easy it is to find information on someone, especially if they are established professionals. We deal with a lot of people that are at an emotional stage in their life, so there's that. I like to read the complaints on the cases we work on because we get all kinds of stories. Some sad, some funny, some just straight out weird, and others that are just appalling. I usually don't talk to the clients, but sometimes I will have to talk to their employers. I think I get the easier end of the job because I wouldn't be able to deal with all the emotions.

I am actually looking to change jobs to a full time and keep my classes in the evening. I had an interview yesterday (friday), which I think went really well. It would pay more and provide benefits, which is just awesome.

    Have a nice day :)

Re: What do you do for work right now?

    Hello,

I currently go to school full time, but I also work about 16 hours a week. I work for an electrical company in the nearby area and I manage to work two full days a week. However, I look forward to working a co-op for my major in the summer.

Re: What do you do for work right now?

    Hey JeneluRose and all!

How nice that you don't have to work while also going to school. I wish I could do that. I have to work to support myself, so I have no other choice but to work while I go to school. For now I work in a factory setting, but this company is nationally known and they also have an administrative area and that's where I will probably be transferred to when school is done. So better days are ahead.

I don't like the factory setting. It's all physical labor and being a small person this is hard for me. I was in tears yesterday when I got home because this is all so exhausting for me. I don't have much of a social life because as soon as work is over all I want to do is relax. I ache from every fiber of my being.

I also broke a bone in my foot at this job. An object fell on my foot, but I am still working with a boot cast on and now throbbing in pain. I cannot wait for my life to be easier. Hopefully this spring that change can come about. It could not come soon enough! I am exhausted at this job!

I am grateful to have this job, regardless. It pays above average and they have been very good about going around my school hours, so that has been a plus. I can support myself and that's important.

Re: What do you do for work right now?

    Hi Jenelu,

Right now I am working as a substitute teacher in my local school district, a job which I just started in October. My first day was Halloween, actually! Before this, I worked as a live-in nanny for 3 years. I started my current degree in Elementary Education (grades 1-6) during my last year as a nanny, and am finishing up that degree now. It's all online, which makes working and going to school at the same time much more feasible for me.

    Have a great Thursday!

Re: What do you do for work right now?

For work now, I am a full-time optician. At my job I do everything. I open and close the store, I teach people how to care for their glasses as well as how to properly maintain, insert, and remove their contacts. I am also in charge of payroll and making sure that our office has its proper supplies. I also run insurances, adjust and fix glasses as well as sell them. Oh, and did I mention handling customer complaints? I basically do everything however soon I will be moving to a different office with more staff so my workload is going to be cut significantly.

Re: What do you do for work right now?

    Hello all of you,

There are so many new faces out there so I would like to know what you all do for work and do you like your job?

    Have a nice evening!
