    Apple Watch ECG Technology

    Hey CNET!

Apple recently announced its new technology software on its new Series 4 apple watch. The ECG sensor incorporates new electrodes built into both the back crystal and the digital crown, which are designed to measure your heart's electrical signal if you're using the device correctly.

Once you're ready to take a reading with your Apple Watch, hold down a finger on the digital crown for 30 seconds. After that, you'll get a result, and you can store it in the health app on the phone or share it in a PDF file with a doctor.

Numerous Cardiologist has even sampled this apple watch feature themselves and believes a false negative is better than a true positive.

What do you think the pros and cons are to this new software capability by Apple?

    Hey Bria,

Love this idea. Technology is evolving rapidly these days and in ways that can help us. I do think there are pros and cons to this Apple Watch as there are to everything. The pros I think to this watch is that providing your heart’s electrical signal while you are sitting right there is a much more convenient way than having to schedule an appointment to get that done especially when it relates to older people. However, I think the cons are what if you doing something wrong during taking your heart’s electrical signal like moving around when you should be sitting. It is fascinating though how technology is changing our lives and in ways making it more convenient for us.

    Interesting forum Bria!
