What's on your to do list?

So, I was sitting on the bus trying to think of something interesting or thought provoking to post today and honestly all I could see when I closed my eyes was my to do list scrolling across the inside of my eyelids.

I had so much going on today I kind of felt like I was set up for failure. So far today I have had an online tutorial, went to the doctor, went to the pharmacy, had a short meeting with my boss, answered several emails, picked up my lunch, and next I have to have 5 back to back meetings with writing students who are preparing for their thesis.

When I get home I have to arrange the pick up of a used washing machine and also make my lunches for the rest of the week. Then I have to email some people to firm up some Christmas plans.

Phew! Just typing it makes me tired!

What about you? What's on your list today???

Hope you're al well, and I hope you're all looking forward to your Thanksgiving plans!

Re: What's on your to do list?

There was so much on my list today!!
Top priority this morning was refilling my weekly anti rejection pills ( I had a kidney transplant in Nov 17). Then I went and got my nails done. Took my boyfriend and our daughter to the doctor for their appointments.

We got some yummy lunch at Chili's and had a little bit of family time. Lastly on our outing list was grocery shopping.... super fun!

Now I'm relaxing at home, but needing to get up and clean. I just don't have the energy after all the running around.

Re: What's on your to do list?

    Aloha,

I finished work about an hour ago and ran home to get changed. Now I’m on my way to meet with my group for a project in one of our classes. I’m off tomorrow and Wednesday and will be doing laundry, cleaning my bedroom and bathroom, and trying to get ahead on some homework.

Hope you are able to accomplish everything on your list!

    Good luck!

    Mahalo,
    Dan

Wow, Auburie. That is a very inspiring story and it sounds like you are doing great.

It also sounds like you have a very positive outlook and are really appreciating little things in life.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

    Best,

Re: What's on your to do list?

My list for the day was to look at my options for transferring to a university because I’m at a community college right now. I honestly didn’t realize how stressful it was going to be but everything is going to be okay. Just have to be patient.
    Have a nice day!

Re: What's on your to do list?

    Hey teebee,

I’m overwhelmed by your list although it sounds like you might just have a handle on it all.

I have work, yoga afterwards and organizing to do.

    Thanks for the forum!

Re: What's on your to do list?

    Hey there,

That does sound like an overwhelming day!

The biggest thing on my to do list are home things. Raking leaves, putting some outdoor stuff away in the shed for winter, putting up decorations, cleaning some dishes, putting mail and bills away, etc.

That's what I think about while I'm at work..all of the things I have to get done when I get home.

    Hey Hey!

    Too much!

Re: What's on your to do list?

    Good morning!

You're a very busy person! I know what it's like to try to do some reflective thinking and not being able to because the endless list of things I have to do is uppermost in my mind.
Making a to-do list is certainly an effective way to organize one's obligations. Checking things off a to-do list after they're done is an undeniably satisfying feeling.

Here are the things on my to-do list:
Finish posting to CNet. (I've already finished my assignment in class so I have time to do other things.)
Resume practicing light equations for chemistry.

    At lunch:
Hand in physical forms to the athletic office.
Finish the last problem on my chemistry worksheet.
    Practice electron configurations.

    After school:
    Go to robotics meeting briefly.
Get help with certain chemistry concepts after class.
Review extensively the things I don't know that well.
(I humbly acknowledge that although I'm good at science, chemistry, etc, I need a little help sometimes because I have trouble focusing in class.)

    At home:
    Eat dinner.
    Get English homework done.
    Go to therapy.
    Study for chemistry.

We have a chemistry quiz this Thursday on light theory, light equations, atomic orbitals, and electron configurations. It is imperative that I review as much as I possibly can because it is a lot.

Other than that, today's to-do list isn't so overwhelming.

    Thanks for the forum!
    Have a wonderful day. :)

Re: What's on your to do list?

    Hello!

The main thing on my to-do list today is to study for the Calculus exam I have tomorrow. I'm seriously dreading it.

Re: What's on your to do list?

    Hi there!

if you know me, I love making lists! Here are a couple things I hope to accomplish today:

    -finish homework/essay for English class
-take the dogs on a walk
-get some rest (gotta be well rested to perform at 100%)

Maybe I should go and do those now, thanks for a reminder!

Re: What's on your to do list?

    Hi M!

Hahaha. I can totally relate. Actually, I love making lists, too, and sometimes I have been found guilty of making a list that includes things already did that day because it is so satisfying to cross things off the list! I know that sounds like cheating, but I actually think that it can be motivational to see one or two things crossed out so that we don't get overwhelmed and feel like we have gotten NOTHING done that day.

I also, of course, use a google calendar to keep track of my days, but in addition, I do like to use a written planner so at the end of my work days I can make notes about what I did and did not get done, and where I might want to pick up the next day that would be most helpful for completing a task.

Thanks for all of your comments! We'r e all a bunch of busy bees here on College Net!

    Best,

    Teebee
