    Own a Business

Hey Cnet, hope you are having a great Sunday!

So I have always wanted to own my own business but it has always changed as to what. When I was in middle school, I wanted to own a danceclub that during the day people could learn how to dance but at night on the weekends, it would be an actual club.

In high school, it changed to a clothing store that would catered to shorter people as I am only 4'11 and I would (and still do) get fed up trying to find clothes that fit my short self. While there are petite sections, I just didn't like the styles or patterns offered and I just always like shopping the juniors section (will admit I still do as I prefer the style better).

Well I still want to own my own business. However now what I would really love to own would be some place of entertainment more geared towards younger children but for any age. Where I live it seems they cater towards the college kids and not so much families.

We do have some places but we need more variety. Like I would open up indoor go-cart racing or even a place with bouncy houses or if possible a mix of both. Just something I would feel safe bringing my son to that would be affordable as well.

I have also thought of a franchise as well but as to what I would have to do my research.

So what about you Cnet members, if you could open a business what type of business would it be? And if you're like me and have wanted to own your own business has it always been the same or has what you wanted to open changed over the years?

    Re: Own a Business

    Raeanna,
Interesting how you know owning a business is your choice, but not the type of business. Usually it's the other way around!

I live in Las Vegas and there are tons of places for kids. A few examples are: Glow in the dark mini golf, arcades with competing teams on a console or computers, trampoline centers, rock climbing walls, fairytale tea parties, indoor playgrounds, water parks, hot air balloons, laser tag, escape rooms, children's theater, gymnastics, storytime, children's museum and discovery center, and more!

I haven't wanted to own a business since recently. Similarly to your idea, it would be for children. The difference is that it would be for children facing abuse and neglect.

Hope I gave you a few ideas, I have more if you're interested! Good luck!
