Would ever move to another country to live?

    Hey CNET,

Would you ever leave your home country to live in another country permanently? Would you move for love? For a job? Just because you wanted to change locations?

I do not think I would move to another country permanently, I love the United States and all the rights and freedoms we have, but I realize not everyone has had the same life or experiences that I have enjoyed.

How about you? Would you ever leave your country permanently?

Looking forward to reading your responses!

    Have a good one!

    Thanks for reading,
    Karen

    Hey Karen,

I would totally leave the country because the world is full of rich cultures and experiences that you just can't fully appreciate unless you move there. I would love to move to Spain, perhaps Central America. Still, I do love my country and would likely move back to the U.S. at some point.

    Hey,

I would love to live in Paris and open my own boutique. But I’ll also open one here in New York.

    Hi Karen,

Like you, I don't think I would move to another country permanently. I would miss my family and travel prices would make visiting them hard. I would however, move if it involved employment and wasn't long term. In that case, it would probably be fun!

I had a friend that went to Saudi Arabia for two years to teach. The money was fantastic! She was able to pay off her student loans and then some! Her husband found an equally as lucrative job and because of her job, the location and surroundings were safe and they felt really comfortable. Of course, they were glad to come home, but they looked at it as such a positive experience!

I was sorry to read about your husband's hospital stay and the subsequent bills! That is stressful beyond belief in oh so many ways!

In the event that I absolutely had to, I think I'd want to go to Canada, preferably Ontario. My grandmother was originally from there, though the town she was born and grew up in was SUPER tiny, though it could be a matter of getting used to. They speak English, I can learn French (it's a bilingual province after all), and the lifestyle isn't all that bad.

Re: Would ever move to another country to live?

    Aloha,

I would absolutely move to another country permanently. I think there are better places to live in the world and such rich cultures as someone else mentioned. Especially the way the government is going in this country living elsewhere is looking more and more appealing. I would move for love, a job and maybe just because I want to live somewhere different. I have thought about living and traveling abroad a lot lately and it is something I am very interested in. Overall, I could certainly see myself living in another country.

Re: Would ever move to another country to live?

    Hey!

I don't know if I would move to another country permanently at my current age, but maybe later in life. I would definitely move to another country for a few years and then move back to the U.S., and one of my goals in the next few years is to move to New Zealand for a year.

I have also considered moving to England for a couple years with my cousin who has similar interests.

But right now I spend a lot of time with my family, parents and cousins, and friends to move away from it all an only 23.

    Thanks for the forum,

    Jess

I would definitely move to another country in a heart beat. I lived abroad in China for a year and I live in Austalia a year. If it wasn’t for limits on Visas, I would have stayed longer. It’s so hard to get working Visas in other countries. I would like to live and work on every continent. You get a better feel and understanding of the culture if you live there than if your just vacationing.

Re: Would ever move to another country to live?

I would definitely move to another country. I was fortunate enough to France this past spring and I would move to Provence in a heart beat. The people, the weather, the food. Everything is warm and welcoming. And I can’t wait to go back.

    Hey Karen,

I'm not even sure I would leave the US to visit another country honestly, but definitely not to move, then again there is more history and mysteries overseas, but maybe a visit, not a move.
