What is your favorite writing utensil?

    Hello!
I don't know if any of you are like me, but I am very particular about what I write with. My top three favorite things to write with are mechanical pencils (0.7 lead), Pilot G2 ink pens (0.7), and PaperMate Flair pens. I only use pencils for courses such as anything with math, because I am prone to mistakes and it would be pointless to cover the page with White-out. The Pilot pens and Flair pens I normally use for note-taking, but I do have some classes that request black ink pens so I often use my Pilot pens in those classes as well. Something about how smooth Flair pens and the Pilot pens write makes me almost want to write, because I love how my writing looks when I write with them!
Do you have any particular favorites when it comes to writing utensils? Or do you think it's pointless to pay a premium for a writing utensil? Can you tell the difference between a quality utensil and a cheap one?

    hi hi!

Yeah you are detailed with your writing utensils!
I also like the mechanical pencil, mainly because it does not thick out like a regular pencil, and it is soft. When it comes to pens, I only like black ink. Some of the ink feels "dry" so those pens I'm not a fan of. I like the ink to look bold and feel smooth.

    Hey!
I love writing with all writing utensils. There are specific writing utensils for each task. For instance, math definitely a mechanical pencil, because I like my work to be neat. If I am drawing I would prefer a regular pencil as it makes the art that much more creative. If I am writing notes I prefer a black pen (any type) unless there is detail or different categories, then I will use colored pens. I love to color with my children and we use markers, colored pencils, and crayons.
I am not a fan of cheap writing utensils because the quality just seems to be not worth it.

    Hey Samantha!

When it comes to pencils I really like anything with .07 lead but I'm a huge fan of Bic mechanical pencils. They're cheap and they're nice quality. I guess I can't tell a huge difference between the cheap and the expensive pencils. However, I have a custom pen that I got from my German teacher which has the smoothest writing quality. It's definitely on the expensive side and man is it worth the money.

Since I don't put such a heavy value on my writing utensils I tend not to buy the most expensive stuff. It sure is tempting though. I have to restrain myself mid August when I'm buying supplies for school from getting the packages with 20 different colored pens. Maybe next year I'll splurge for once!

    Thanks for reading!

Depends on the grip of the utensil. if the grip is comfortable, that's my favorite writing utensil. I like tall pencils, pens that flow easily and dont make your hands sweat and ache after a lot of writing, you know

    Hey Samantha,

at work, I have pens that have the 3 different colors in them. I believe it is Bics. They are my favorite because it brings back my childhood memories.
