    Tea or Coffee?

    Hello CNET!

I had a meeting with an academic advisor today and as we were concluding the meeting we started talking about tea and coffee. Both are really great, and we both preferred tea, but somehow we drink more coffee. Coffee just seems to be more socially appropriate when going out with friends, and by the time I get back to my room, I don't want to wait for my tea to be made and I've already had enough caffeine.

I do prefer tea to coffee, though, greatly. I think tea tastes better and it has more benefits.

Which do you prefer? Which do you find yourself drinking more?

    Have a wonderful day!

    Emma

    Hello!
I guess I'm kind of a Southern girl, so I'd probably have to say that I prefer tea, especially if it's iced and very sweet. Not only is it often more refreshing to drink, but it doesn't leave you feeling buzzed only to have a caffeine crash later on. That's not to say that I don't like coffee too, though; I drink it at least every other day just because the taste is pretty good, and it is helpful in keeping me awake during class. Recently, since it's colder, I've taken to drinking hot Sleepytime tea nightly to help me relax before bedtime. It is very good for you because it's all natural, and I only add a little bit of honey to it for sweetness. Overall, I think that both are good, but I do slightly prefer tea.

    Re: Tea or Coffee?

    Hey Emma,

I was a coffe- only person. However things have changed.

Now I am 50/50. I drink coffee in the morning and tea in the evening. Even though I love coffee, I have realized that its not wise to be addicted. It took me a long time to shake off my coffee addiction. So I keep my coffee drinking low and focus on some healthy tea drinking habits.

Either coffee or tea, I like it with a milk and sugar.

    Thanks for the question !!!

    Re: Tea or Coffee?

    hi hi!

I drink one cup of coffee every day, and about 1-2 cups of caffeine free tea.
Now that I get 7-8 hours of sleep every night, I'm totally fine with one cup of coffee. When I was in college my normal sleep was 5-6 hours and my days seemed to last forever! Then I would have two cups of coffee. One at 6am and second cup at 1pm or 2pm. But really, 2 cups of coffee is all I can take before my heart starts aching from bouncing too fast.
My fave tea is mint, so that I drink during cold weather. Mainly to stay warm.

    Talk later!

    Re: Tea or Coffee?

    Hi there Emma :)

Great question! I honestly love both coffee and tea, so this is a really hard question for me. Since I really love iced coffee, hot coffee, hot tea and milk tea (which I get at boba places). But if I had to pick I would choose coffee over tea. Merely because although both are delicious, there's more benefits for me when I drink coffee, since I always drink it to stay awake, and coffee has more caffeine content than tea.

    Much love,

    Elisa

    Re: Tea or Coffee?

    Hey Emma,

I really like tea, but I drink more coffee than I do tea which I wish I would change. I drink tea in the afternoon when I get home to calm down sometimes, but coffee is always the start of the day for me. Tea really helps me when I'm sick because I can drink the throat coat kind which helps with sore throats and the sleepy time tea for when I can't sleep. I think tea has a lot of benefits, but I don't drink as much as I would like. So, preference wise I actually prefer tea over coffee because you can have it in several different ways and use it for more than just drinking.

    Have a great day!

    Re: Tea or Coffee?

    Hi Emma,

I feel like I'm definitely more of a coffee person, but it really depends on the situation. I drink coffee more often because I love the boost that it gives me in the mornings. If I'm trying to wind down at the end of the day or just want to have a relaxing drink, though, I'll usually go for tea. Overall though I'd definitely coin myself as a coffee drinker simply because I love the taste of coffee, and even when I want to relax sometimes I'll drink coffee anyway because I prefer the flavor.

    Have a good one.

    Re: Tea or Coffee?

    Hello!

I have digestive problems and when I drink coffee it makes them much worse so I stick to tea. I think coffee tastes okay but I just feel like if it hurts my stomach (plus it's bad to drink so much caffeine) then I will just not drink it.

It is a little more of a hassle for some reason to make tea than coffee. I do love teavana and I buy a lot of loose teas and try all different flavors. The teas I buy also have a small amount of caffeine so I can drink them when I really need a kick.

    Re: Tea or Coffee?

    Hi!
I must say that was an interesting observation. Tea is a mood elevator and so is coffee. But, I prefer tea. It might be attributed to my culture as it is pretty much a regime to wake up and sip tea while reading newspaper. Even with the changing weather of Cleveland, tea and coffee, both are extremely popular here. To beat the cold waves of Cleveland winds, tea and coffee comes as a saviour.

    Re: Tea or Coffee?

    Hey Emma,

While I like both, I generally drink coffee. Im not sure why I have a preference to it, but it seems to start my day off everyday. Maybe its because its routine, and being a creature of habit, when I find something I like I stick with it.

But occasionally, especially this time of year when the weather is cold, I find myself wanting a warm drink in the evening but don't want the caffeine so I will opt for hot decaffeinated herbal tea. My favorite is peppermint or if you haven't had it, you should try Pike Street tea. Both are super yummy!

Thanks for the question doll. Hope all is well with you!
