What are you looking forward to most?

    Good morning, CNetters!

In just a few more days I will be home for Christmas and New Years. I definitely need the break. Anyway, as I am eager to get home for the Holiday's I was thinking:

What are you looking forward to most this Christmas?

For me personally, I am simple. I am looking forward to having some home cooked meals. The food is absolutely dreadful in the dining hall at college. Secondly, I am looking forward to having a real bed that fits me and a new mattress. Sleeping on the floor was getting old. It's supposed to be delivered the day before I come home! Lastly, of course I am looking forward to seeing my family and friends and being able to spend time with them-more than just a day or few hours.

Thanks for reading and have a great day everyone!

well, jon, since you ASK... i can't wait for the end of this term next week! one more semester and i'll have a master's degree in my back pocket!

Re: What are you looking forward to most?

    Hello Jon,

I am kind of the same, I am looking forward to having days off from work and just sitting home relaxing with my family. I am looking forward to having some delicious meals made by my mom and a long night sleep.
Honestly it’s all simple things just being able to have nothing on my mind for the next day would be great!
My friend’s wedding is on January 6th so I’m looking forward to that as well. And all the activities to come to prepare for it!

Hope you enjoy your time home! Thanks for the forum, Have a great day!

    Hey Jon,

I am looking forward to a little time off from school mostly! I am kind of tired. We will have midterm exams before our winter break which is nice so I can literally just relax. I will still get up early a few days a week to lift and I will still schedule practice time for golf but those are both relaxing things to me! Aside from that, I am looking forward to seeing my cousins, aunts and uncles, most of which I haven't seen since last Christmas!

    Thanks for the forum.

Re: What are you looking forward to most?

    Hey Jon,

I am looking forward to spending time with family most of all. This is though my sister is going to be at her husband's father's place for Christmas but they switch every year so I was expecting it with last year being spent with us.

My son is 3 (4 in a month) and I'm excited to see his reaction on Christmas. He's so excited where past years he was excited some but not really. The holidays this year with him have been so much more fun.

Also my sister plans to do a gender reveal although I'm not sure when exactly. But I know it's around Christmas as long as the ultrasound goes as planned and the baby shows herself/himself. So I'm looking forward to knowing if I will have another niece or nephew.

Hope you have a great day!

    Hey Jon,

I'm excited to see my daughter throughout the Christmas festivities. At this time last year she was only 10 months old, so too young to know anything was happening. When she met Santa, it was just a guy with a beard. I'm hoping this year she starts to understand a little more. She gets excited when she sees a picture of Santa, or a decoration of Santa. I hope she doesn't get freaked out when she meets him!

I'm also just excited in general to have a few extra days off work to relax and enjoy time with my family.

I remember the days of living on campus, and looking forward to home cooked meals on breaks! Enjoy it!

Re: What are you looking forward to most?

    Hi Jon,

I am happy for you but not as happy as you sound to be going home for the holidays :). I am looking forward to getting a passing score on my last projects for class then I can look forward to everything else. I have been writing many 30 page papers for a few weeks now. I have learned to type faster and all, lol.

My next big thing to look forward to is spending time with family a few states over. My brother is coming from the Bahamas for a visit so almost all of us siblings will be together except one. This hasn't happened in over 5 years so this is grand.

Thank you for the forum and safe travels fo when you return home

Re: What are you looking forward to most?

    Hello Jon!

I am very much looking forward to this one month break from school! I will catch up on much-needed rest, get organized, prepare for the upcoming semester, and spend time with my children. I am so excited for Christmas! I too am ready for another great meal. Our family does many traditional activities such as see the dancing lights, make gingerbread houses, and wear Christmas pajamas. I will also work a little extra to cover my expensive books I will not use until week 8 of 10. Overall, I am just excited to relax more with my children and have a small break from school. Good question.
I hope you get everything you are hoping for.

    Best wishes,

    Bria
