    Farewell for now. ;)

Hey, CNet. Happy Friday! School got cancelled for today because of the snow. I was pumped when I found out! I went snowboarding with my sister a little while ago, and it was fun. Now we're going to make some hot cocoa.

I don't think I payed close attention to the rules for this site. I didn't know that I had to be a college student (or at least a senior in high school) to reap the benefits of the scholarship prizes. I'm a junior currently, and I haven't decided where I want to go to college yet, maybe Boston University. I don't know, it depends.

I think I'm going to take a break from posting for a while. I'll still vote, but I would like to wait until I could really use the scholarship money.

Thank you for all your support, kind words, and thoughtful responses. :)

    Farewell, CNet, for now. :)

    Re: Farewell for now. ;)

    Aloha Chloe,

I'll miss ya! You've been a great participant. I think it makes sense that if you are not able to benefit from winning, then there's no point in hanging around, putting in the 5 daily posts.

I love hot cocoa and skiing! Granted, I've only been skiing once, but still... I was just thinking it would be nice to have some hot cocoa. Of course, in Hawaii, it doesn't snow, which I kind of like, but I am also into going to a wintry place for vacation.

Take care, and thanks for checking in and still planning to vote! Have a great snow day (I have a sick day meself).

    Re: Farewell for now. ;)

    Hi Chloe,

Have you checked with anyone from Cnet about this? I would hate for you to forfeit the win that you have, shoot!
I think it is very smart of you to take a break for a while until you can actually get your scholarships.

We will miss you. You always seem very mature for your age. I had a hard time believing you were only a junior in high school and not a college junior, LOL!

Man, I miss snow days! I remember when I was younger we went sledding down a big hill at one of the parks. So much fun! And hot chocolate afterwards, of course, with maybe some popcorn and a movie. I have never been skiing, but I have been snow tubing. Skiing is on my bucket list for sure.

Thanks for sticking around and planning to vote. That is a great way of staying involved so that you don't have to basically start over when you come back.

Take care, and enjoy your high school years that you have left!

    Re: Farewell for now. ;)

    Hi Chloe,

That is truly too bad. It seemed like you were just getting into the swing of things too!

I'm sorry to hear that you aren't able to use the scholarship that you earned! I'm with Kasey on this ,,, have you talked with someone at CNet?

Best wishes with your music composition, piano playing, running and scholarly pursuits. I have no doubt that you will be successful in your endeavors!

    Re: Farewell for now. ;)

    Hey Chloe!

I am sorry to hear that you are not able to use the scholarship you earned. I have truly enjoyed your posts and will miss your ideas and enthusiasm!

I think it is a good idea to take a break until you decide where you are going to school. I wish you the best of luck with your music and your running!

    Take Care!

    Re: Farewell for now. ;)

    Hey Chloe,

So sorry to hear you are not eligible to receive scholarship money since you are only a junior.

I think Kasey is right that you should check with someone from CNET as well...just in case.

It's been great getting to know you!!

Thanks for the forum and good luck!!

    Re: Farewell for now. ;)

    Hi Chloe!

I am so sorry to hear that you are not able to use the money that you have won! You are such an intelligent and mature person for your age! I have truly enjoyed reading your posts!! Thank you for letting us know what is going on. I wish you the best with all of your upcoming college decisions.

P.S. Good Luck with your running!

    Re: Farewell for now. ;)

Aww I’m sorry to see you go sunset runner. Well do stop in and drop a comment or two ever now and again. This was your test run for when you are eligible. When you come back you will dominate. I would have never guessed you were a junior in high school. Your posts make you seem wise beyond your years. It says a lot about you that even as a junior you are already looking forward to getting yourself ready for college. I’m sure you will go far in life, just keep running into that sunset :)

    Re: Farewell for now. ;)

    Hey Chloe,

I hate that you aren't able to truly participate yet as you always made good forums and your comments were good as well. I also would like to know if you talked with Cnet about if you have to forfeit your winnings so far? You worked really hard for that although I would understand on Cnet's part being the rules do state you have to use it in a certain amount of time.

I wish you the best of luck and do hope to still see you post every once in a while although I would understand if you didn't since you aren't eligible yet. Maybe if it's possible see if you can take 1-2 college classes while still in high school. My high school didn't offer it when I went but I think now they do and there are some who graduate with a 2 year degree when they get their high school diploma.
