Oh no! I forgot to vote last night!

    Good morning!

When I woke up this morning, I realized that I had forgotten to cast my two votes yesterday after the election was done to start the new week. It'll be interesting to see how that affects my standing this week because I know that voting has a huge impact on whatever the formula is that determines the top 20 each week.

I used to forget to vote the second time when I first started on Cnet, but I have been really good about remembering since then. Doggone it! I can't believe I forgot, bummer.

Have you ever forgotten some important thing that you can't go back and fix?

Thanks for reading, and have a great day!

Re: Oh no! I forgot to vote last night!

    Hi Kasey,

congratulations on your win. Forgetting to vote or post your last post does affect. However, with your standing, I don't think it will be all that detrimental. I am not sure if a lot of people know about the double voting on Wednesdays especially the newer folks.

Just recently I had applied for a credit card that offered 0% for 18 months. I had it all planned out how I would do a balance transfer from another card onto the 0% transfer and go interest-free for the 18 months. Needless to say, I missed the deadline and when I called the bank to explain to them they said it was a one time only offering. This sank me and dropped my score by a decent amount. Now I make sure to write thigs downs with alert reminders.

    Have a great day

    Hi Kasey!

That is a big, fat bummer! Sorry! I have done that once myself! Life is going to have moments like that and they can frustrate the daylights out of us for sure!

One of mine was not giving myself enough time (the weather was a factor too) to get to the airport in time. I miscalculated the drive time and it cost me the flight!!!! I arrived at the checkin around 10 minutes late and they would not let me through to board; rules, regulations and safety guidelines, etc! The plane was still there too! I spent the night in the tiny, isolated airport in Fargo, North Dakota. My families was several hours away and my rental car had been returned, so I was on my own and stuck there! On the bright side ,,, the nice ladies at the airport put me on the next flight out in the morning and helped me get as comfortable as I could be for my airport "sleep over". And thankfully, it didn't cost me more as there had been tornadoes in the area that evening and weather delays are an act of nature! Many lessons learned on that adventure though !!!! :)

Re: Oh no! I forgot to vote last night!

    Good morning Kasey,

I am sorry you forgot to go back to vote 2 more times last night. I have also forgotten to do so. Actually, when I first started on College Net I wasn't even aware of it until Megan, a graduate of CNet, told me about it! You are a go-getter and very consistent on this forum so I don't think that will affect you, at least I hope it doesn't!

In high school I have forgotten multiple times to bring my lunch with me to school. I went hungry. I have also forgotten to bring my gym bag when I was a freshman which meant I took a zero for participation in gym class that day. Because of my downfalls, I think that is the reason why I have learned to become organized. I now pack my backpack and soccer bag the night before and set them out by my keys so I don't leave without them. I learned from my mistakes.

I hope you have a tremendous Thursday!

    Hey Hey!

    Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...I'm sure it'll be fine :)

Re: Oh no! I forgot to vote last night!

    Hey Kasey,

I actually have done this myself and actually I didn't even know you could vote after the reset at first until someone made a post about it.

I know I have forgotten about appointments even though I have them in my phone but of course you can always reschedule those. I'm sure if I think hard I can think of other moments when I forgot something,

Hope you have a great day,

Re: Oh no! I forgot to vote last night!

I was doing pretty well last week and was at #1 on the rookie board. I forgot to post/vote on Sunday and dropped down to 2nd and could not get myself back up to first!!! So hard once you slip!

Re: Oh no! I forgot to vote last night!

    Hey Kasey!

I am sorry you forgot to vote! I did that my first week a couple of times. I just had trouble getting into a routine the first week. You have great posts and are usually consistent so hopefully it won't affect you too much!

I nearly forgot about my English final that was due online my junior year. It was a college class and assignments were usually due on Sunday evenings, but the final was due on a weeknight. The a cappella group I sang with had our final concert that night. I kept thinking there was something I forgot to do but I didn't remember until 11:15 and the final was due at midnight, no exceptions! I couldn't turn back the clock, all I could do is work with the time I had left. The assignment was to take a paper we had written during the semester, make corrections, and expand it by at least half a page. I was so frustrated it was hard to think. I ended up turning it in 30 seconds before the deadline. Obviously, it was not the quality paper I would have turned in had I remembered earlier. I was very fortunate that I didn't have too much editing to do and she seemed to be generous with her grading!

    Good luck this week!
