    Setting An Alarm?

    Good morning, friends!

This morning has been a perfectly dark, rainy morning for sleeping in! I accidentally did just that. I forgot to set my alarm last night and only woke up to my daughter coming in and putting her hands in my face to see where I was at lol Needless to say, I was very late this morning and was scrambling around like crazy to make it to work on time.

Do you set an alarm each morning or are you able to wake up on your own?

    Thanks!
    Morgan

    Re: Setting An Alarm?

    Hi Morgan,

I'm so sorry that this happen to you.

When have school or an appointment, I always make sure to set my alarm clock the night before because sometimes I just can't wake up on my own and I'm afraid to over sleep.

If I don't have anywhere to go the next day, than I don't set my alarm clock but wake up at whatever time my body feels like waking up.

Thanks for the forum and have a great day!

    Re: Setting An Alarm?

    Hi Morgan,

That’s happened to me before, minus the part of having a daughter wake me up, I’m not quite there yet.

I have a routine each night where I set my alarm before I go to bed. Fortunately I seem to forget very rarely. I usually set three alarms each night. One is the initial wake me up one, then I have a snooze one and just in case I sleep in passed my snooze alarm I have a final warning “Jon must get up” alarm. Sometimes it takes half an hour to wake up but I get out of bed eventually. I wish I was one of those people that could just get up with their alarm. I waste half an hour each day waking up then going back to sleep then waking up again.

    Thanks for reading!

    Re: Setting An Alarm?

I have to have an alarm. I have an alarm set for 30 minutes before the time I wake up. And since I never hit the snooze button, I have an alarm every 5 minutes just in case I don't get up the first time. I also have alarms to keep me on track of time so i'm not late to school or work. I set my alarm on my phone so that I can choose the day and it will automatically go off every time unless I turn it off. What i honestly should just do is sit up, because when my head is on my pillow I can not keep my eyes open.

    Hope the info helps!!

    Re: Setting An Alarm?

    Hi Morgan,

Thank goodness that your daughter came in to check on you. Being late is the worst. I hate having to rush.

I do set an alarm on days when I have to get up for class. Since the schedule varies, I have to reset the wake up time every night, and that can confuse me sometimes when I am not paying attention.

Thank you for sharing your story, and have a great rest of the day!

    Re: Setting An Alarm?

    Hi Morgan!

I do have to set alarms in the morning. Yes alarms, plural. If I do not, I will sleep through the one. When I have multiple alarms, I HAVE TO get out the bed! It is very annoying, yet it is the only way I can get where I need to be on time! (LOL)

It was a rainy morning where I am as well. I only set one alarm and slept right through it!

    Hey Morgan!

That is one of the worst feelings! I hate feeling late to things! The weather has been that way in Oklahoma City as well! So dark and rainy it makes me want to sleep in and watch movies all day!
I definitely have to set an alarm! I tend to wake up every so often just to check the time but I would probably sleep past the time I need to wake up if I didn't have an alarm set. I just need one alarm and I am up!

    Have a good day!
