If you could eliminate one thing you do everyday?

    Hello CNet Friends,

If you could eliminate one thing you do everyday, what would it be?

For me I have several but if I had to choose just one I think it would be having to get up early. It was a close tie for not having to do the dishes.

    How about you?

    Thanks,
    Karen

    Aloha Karen,

Oooh, nice forum topic! Hm, I'm a little split on different things here...I'd have to say the one daily "chore" I genuinely wish I could eliminate is scrolling on my phone! I honestly couldn't tell you how many hours I accidentally lose to fifteen-minute scrolling sessions on Facebook and Tumblr, whoops! I really wish I could just set myself so that I invest less time on such silly sites.

Although, it's very close with doing cat-litter every morning and evening...nah, I'm gonna go with scrolling. Have a blessed day!

    Hi Karen,

If I could elimate one thing I do everyday, I would pick tidying up!

I need a tidying fairy to swoop in before I leave for work and make my bed, pick up clothes and clean up the bathroom after I get ready. I don't mind cooking, but tidying up the kitchen is a chore! I want to eat and go straight to the couch. I want that magical fairy to put away blankets, pillows and all the things around the house before bed. I could go straight from the living room and head right to bed and sleep well knowing I would wake up to a tidy house; I would never have a messy house! I've tried to give that job to my husband, but it's a no go! ;)

    Hey Karen!

I would have to choose cooking dinner. It has become such a pain and it usually takes up most of my time after work. I get home, start cooking, eat, then clean up and it’s already 8:30. There’s just enough time to do a couple things before it’s time to get ready for bed!

My close second would be waking up early. That is just miserable! I wish it could be easier to just wake up and be ready to greet the day. Maybe one day I’ll figure that out.

    Hey,

I feel you in this one because I also feel like it's too much of stuff to do and I'm working. I'll say chores and waking early.

Re: If you could eliminate one thing you do everyday?

If i could eliminate one daily thing i want to say having to use the bathroom. I would love for the technology to get to the point where i do not have to pee or poop any longer. Obviously not possible any time soon and rather icky.

On the more serious note I too would get rid of having to wake up early.

Re: If you could eliminate one thing you do everyday?

I would say anything related to oral hygiene. Assuming that not brushing your teeth wouldn't lead to all the negative things it currently leads to. I also wish sometimes that garbage would magically disappear without my having to see/smell it/deal with bugs if I forget to take it out.

Re: If you could eliminate one thing you do everyday?

    Hey Karen,
I hate cooking !! I would love to have a personal chef who cooks for me and my family or I would love to eat Mexican food every day.

    Thanks!

Cleaning the bathrooms. I hate doing that...

Re: If you could eliminate one thing you do everyday?

Although I do enjoy it can we choose sleep? Honestly if sleep wasn't needed that would be a lot of extra time for me to get things done. And if sleep wasn't needed, I wouldn't feel tired during the day and I wouldn't be sluggish at times.

If it's not an option, it's a hard choice to pick one chore, cleaning in general sucks, especially when you have to clean up after grown adults. I would probably choose cooking. I hate standing over the heat and sometimes the preparation is just so time consuming. While it is easy to buy something already prepared from the frozen section, we usually try to avoid it. We also might eat fast food once a month if that.

Re: If you could eliminate one thing you do everyday?

i'd say having to sweep around in the house and clean after my son and pet cat lol.

Re: If you could eliminate one thing you do everyday?

    Aloha,

I would eliminate cleaning. It can be an annoyance and take away from doing other things that are more fun or important in a different way.
