Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    Hey!

Do you usually take the stairs or elevators?

    Have a nice day!

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    Hey There,

I take both. I don't have any problems taking an elevator, or the stairs. I have a friend who is terrified of elevators! Whenever I'm with her we opt for the stairs.

Thanks for the post and have a great day!

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    Hey Frh!

I switch between elevator and stairs. At school, I usually have classes on the 3rd floor, so I usually take the elevator in the morning, then the stairs in the afternoon. If I am in a really big building like a hospital, I definitely take the elevators, because hospital layouts tend to be confusing, and the elevators tend to be more accessible than stairs. I try to take the stairs when I can, to get some extra exercise!

    Fun topic!

    Have a great day!

    Hey!

I like to take both. I don't mind taking either. Although it is great to take stairs, but I am also lazy lol

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    Hey Hey!

I take the stairs. I like getting my heart rate up a little bit and unless I have to go up to like the 5 or 6th floor somewhere I just do not see the need for the elevator. Its a waste of power to use something that big to go up 1 or 2 stories when the stairs are right freakin next to it.

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    Hey!

I prefer to take the stairs! It is nice because you are able to get more steps in throughout the day! Even if you were not to workout that day you can get a mini one here where you can get your heart rate up!

    Thanks!

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    Hi,

Stairs for me most of the time. If I have to take the elevator I will , but I prefer the stairs..

    Have a great day!

    Thanks for the forum,

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    Hey Frh,

Stairs, all day every day :)

Architecturally stairs tend to be more social. You can talk and have a mini conversation, but in the elevator you're cut off.

The stair I take is the emergency stair and it has no windows. It's not social at all because most people take the elevator instead. Still I agree, the heartrate thing helps me stay healthy - and somehow it never gets easier!!! I've been hiking the stairway for 6 months now!!

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    Hi,

I personally love taking the stairs. When I was 20, my friend lived on the 5th floor of an apartment building, my friends would get in the elevator, a couple of us would race the elevator on the stairs, but stop on each floor and push the button so they stopped on every floor, then we'd wait at the top, fun times.

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    Hello Frh.

I usually take both. I do however enjoy taking the stairs though (definitely depends on the amount of flights).

    Thanks for the forum.

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

It depends on the amount of flights- if it's greater than 5 I'm taking the elevator but usually I prefer stairs. That way I can say I've been exercising!

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    Aloha,

I do try to take the stairs as much as possible. I find myself in elevators where it is easier to find the elevator than the stairs like in parking garages or large hospitals. Stairs are good for the exercise and then I feel less lazy lol.

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    I take the stairs!

I prefer to PLUS ULTRA my way up flights so that maybe, one day, I too may have legs like a hero.
But also because I love cardio and getting my blood pumping before whatever task I need to accomplish that led me up the stairs.

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    Hi Frh,

Always the stairs, unless I'm transporting something large. Stairs are good exercise, often quicker (for me), and, to be honest, elevators do make me a little claustrophobic (I've heard of too many stories of people being stuck in them for long periods of time).

    Thanks,

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    Hey!

I like to take the elevators. I am just too lazy lol

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    Hello All,

When it comes to the stairs vs elevator it depends on so many factors:

    Am I carry heavy objects
How many flights of stairs there are
Am I being lazy that day
    My attire
Me being alone vs with someone who flat out doesn't want to take the stairs .. lol

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    Hey Frh,

I like to take the stairs if I can. Most of my classes are only one or two stories up so the stairs aren't an issue. I have had a couple classes that were on the fourth floor though. If I was cutting it close or running late I would take the elevator. It was only worth it to take the stairs if I had the time to go up four floors.

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

I take the elevator because I have a bad knee, at work the office is on the 6th floor and at home my apartment is on the 5th floor and my knee hurt so badly at times .

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    Hello,
I would prefer the elevator. Eventhough it can malfunction.
It seems to be more scary.

    Thanks, Ladymo12

Re: Do you take the stairs or elevators?

    Hi Frh,

It depends. If I;m feeling lazy and not in a rush, I will choose to take the elevator. On the other hand, if I've been feeling lazy and need to be more active or I'm feeling active, I will choose to take the stairs.

    Thanks,
