    My go to healthy snack is a fruit smoothie bowl: a mix of açai, almond milk, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and chia seeds are blended together. Then to top it off, granola strawberries, blueberries, and bananas coated in honey and coconut flakes. I love this snack because it’s refreshing and gives me motivation to have a great day!

    I like the way you think and wish you all the best on your quest to a healthier you! I am right there with you. I had one of the hardest years I have ever had in my teaching career, I teach second grade, and I just kind of dropped the ball concerning exercise and healthy eating. And, boy do I notice the difference. I generally just feel BLAH! I finished school last Friday and rebooted my health on Saturday.

    As for my favorite healthy snacks, I have several right now. Vegetables with humus and apples with peanut butter are at the top of the list. For a sweet treat, I like sugar free Popsicles. I have been trying to drink a lot of water and adding fruit or fresh mint has made it a bit easier.

    I love almond butter with celery or banana!

    Hummus with veggies is one of my favs too!

    I recently made these keto fat bombs with cocoa powder and coconut oil and they are super good!

    Usually the nuts and dried fruit and dark chocolate combo. Fills you up and hold you over till your next meal.
    I'm also all about those Perfect bars right now.

    I think it is wonderful that you both are trying to be healthier and fit! I have also been trying to be healthier! My go to snack is an apple and peanut butter! Most of the time while I am eating my snack I like to drink water with it so when I finish I will not be as hungry because water will fill you too!

    i would have to say it would be an apple or a special dish that I made that can be cut up into snack form. That dish could be homemade oatmeal cookies with raisins in them (just cut them up per severing size, and they're great after a workout), or it could be a shake I like to make called a chunky monkey smoothie. It only requires one cup of almond milk, a tablespoon of peanut butter, a tablespoon of unsweetened coco powder, and a banana. Just throw that all in the blender, mix until smooth, and it's a really delicious treat! Just limit how many you have! Hope this helps, and have a good day!

    My go to healthy snack would be a banana or a smoothie. I love smoothies that’s made with real fruits and juices. My favorite smoothie would be the strawberry banana smoothie.

    Hey Karen,

    I like to mix it up otherwise I lose interest in keeping up with eating healthy. I really like frozen fruit bars or ice cream bars made with Greek yogurt or coconut milk when I'm craving something sweet. They're usually about 100 calories and aren't chock full of added sweeteners for the most part. I also really like Siggi's yogurt; the yogurt is apparently made in traditional Icelandic style. It's super thick, has great texture, and doesn't use added sweetener. I'll go for fruit as well whether it be a banana, apple, pineapple, berries, or something else seasonal.

    If I'm craving something more savory, I do like veggies and hummus, a spinach salad with roasted red pepper dressing, hard-boiled eggs, etc. If I'm craving something salty, I'll eat pretzel crisps (usually buffalo flavored).

    I think it's best to have a variety of go-to's and know how to portion them.

    Good luck to everyone on their healthy journey. It's so critical, and getting over the hump of just starting out is definitely the hardest part, but you'll thank yourself later in life. Not to be morbid, but I went to a funeral where the deceased had written a letter to be read aloud at his funeral, and his last words of advice were to pay attention to your health and be adamant about making good choices early on in life. He wished he had sooner, but by the time he tried, it was too late. He was an extraordinary man that was lost too soon, and even in death, his last words have stuck with me.

    I drink coffee when i am hungry- but food avoidance is different than a healthy snack.

    I have started white cheddar popcorn. It's better than chocolate chip cookies.

    I would have to say my favorite "healthy" snack is grapes! I put healthy in quotation marks since they are the sugariest fruit ever!! (see how healthy I am).

    Avocado with French baguette toast. It's my favorite snack since I was a youngster. I always have a baguette in the house.
