Are you a Saver or a Spender?

    Hey CNet!

Are you a saver or a spender? Why do you save or spend?

I was talking to my coworker and she was telling me how she is a shopaholic. She just cannot get herself to save money! I find that crazy because I have such bad buyer’s remorse that I literally haven't bought clothes for four years! I save as much as I can, so I don't fall in to crazy debt!

    What about you?

    Have a great day!

    Hey Erin!

I'm the same as you, I always feel terrible about spenfing money!

I actually haven't been able to save for a while because of tuition payments, but I still dont spend much money.

I think my mom made me like this, haha. She never spends money either and was always super strict with us about money when I was growing up.

    Have a good one!

Re: Are you a Saver or a Spender?

    Hello Erin !

I am a saver , but I do spend sometimes. I had to learn how to save my money. I used to spend frivolously on food and going out with friends. Now I am very reserved and follow my budget. If I have money left over from my budget. I will go buy so.ething for myself. I always shop clearance so I tend to find cute cheap clothes and shoes. I also may treat .myself to something tasty. Overall , I tend to save more than I spend !

    Thanks for the forum !

Re: Are you a Saver or a Spender?

    Hey Erin,

I guess I'm not sure which one I am...LOL! I have savings plans in place but I also make allowances for spending money so that I can go out with my friends and go on vacations.

So I guess for me I am a little of both.

I like to see my mom ey grow in my savings plans but I also really enjoy having some fun!

I guess overall I try to balance both.

    Thanks for the forum!

    Have a good one!

    Hey,

Spendeerrrrrr definitely if you ask anyone lol. Especially my husband always say what did you do with all the money... few minutes of silence and i say i ate it all hahah

Re: Are you a Saver or a Spender?

I am definietly a saver. I like to save for important things that i might need later. When i first started college i had made so much that i didn’t take out loans for the first year. Which was an awesome feeling!!

Re: Are you a Saver or a Spender?

    Hi Erin,

I am a combination of both! When I was making money, I would put 50% of my earnings into my savings account. Some months I ended up only putting 30% in the savings account and other months I ended up putting 60% of my earnings into the account. With the remaining money, I would spend almost every penny of it! I love to go shopping and I enjoy owning and using expensive products and having expensive experiences like travel.

Now that I am not making money, I am trying to be more frugal. I might be getting an internship soon, so the money that I earned will be used towards my education and hopefully have some leftover money to save for traveling!

    Cheers!

Re: Are you a Saver or a Spender?

    Hey,

I have hard time saving things. I always find myself spending money on non sense stuff. It's a bad habit of mine.

Re: Are you a Saver or a Spender?

Hi, I am both, as most of the money that I earn in a job goes to my college fund; but when I have cash on me I love to eat at Dairy Queen or McDonald's and I love a good iced tea. My mom has instilled in me the need to save and budget, but I am tempted often.

Re: Are you a Saver or a Spender?

    Hi Erin,
I would say I am more of a saver. I also don't like spending a ton of money. I am living that struggle with needing new clothes. In the past 3 years I've been pregnant with two children so my body definitely is not back to my normal clothes size but I refuse to buy new clothes until I lose this extra weight !

My greatest feeling is having debt paid off !!

    Thanks,
    Morgan

Re: Are you a Saver or a Spender?

    Hey,

I tend to save, and then I tend to spend. It's a cycle. A long, unfortunate cycle.

    Thanks for the forum!
