Favorite toy when you were a kid?

    Hey everyone!

What was your favorite toy when you were a kid? Worst toy?

    Thanks,
    Have a nice day!

    Hey Nancy!!!

My favorite toy was I was a kid was my race track, ESPN game station and Lego's. I love fast and competitive and I also love to build things.

The worst was that annoying tickle me Elmo. When my mom did donation time that went right with everything, hopefully someone else enjoyed it.

    Have a great day!

    Hello Nancy!

    Legos!

I loved building things as a kid (and still do), and building legos actually resulted in one of my earliest forms of expression. I didn't ever like building things according to the manual, I always built my own worlds using different parts and pieces. At a certain point, I started building bigger spaceships and buildings than the ones from the instructions and I got really proud of myself.

I don't specifically remember having a "worst" toy. I guess all of the ones that didn't mean as much to me I don't remember anymore.

    Thanks for the post!

    Hey,

Hmm I don't really remember what my favorite or worst toy was. The only thing I remember is just playing outside with marbles with the neighbors kids. I guess I just liked marbles maybe. We didn't have many toys as I was growing up. I spent my allowance on clothing mostly. I remember my mom used to make us save for a toy or clothing and I would end up buying clothes and play with my siblings toys lol.

    Have a great day!

    Hey Nancy!

My favorite toy as a child was coloring books if that is considered a toy lol. my parents would buy me coloring books and I loved to draw in them for hours. Right now my children like to do the same along with word searches. I also remember having a small doll that my aunt bought me for my birthday. It was so cute that I always took it when ever I went. I might still even have it some where.

    Thanks,
    Have a nice day!

Hi, my favorite toy when I was a kid was probably my ninja turtles. As I got a bit older I liked my scooter and my bike, then my quad. My mom has kept a few of our earlier toys, which is kind of cool to look back on or pass them on to my kids someday.

My favorite toy as a kid was a red and purple toy gun. It was really cool because you could program different sounds that the gun made.

My least favorite toy was this train erector set. At the age I got it, it just had way too many pieces, and it seemed complicated.

    Thanks

Re: Favorite toy when you were a kid?

I would have to say that one of my favorite toys was this little interactive game that taught you about the solar system and the planets. It would have little quizzes about each of the planets, and you could learn all about each planet with a push of a button, anything from temperature to how long it takes for the planet to go around the sun. This device had considered Pluto a planet at the time, so it'll be a change should I want to break this out for my kids (I loved this thing so much that I couldn't stand to depart from it!). I considered all of my toys that were given to me to be favorites, except for a few.

On one occasion, my sister was given one of those doll heads where you can style the hair, and this one's hair was supposed to change color if you added a little water to it. While I never played with it, I didn't really want to because this toy was a total rip off. Not only did the hair turn into a sopping mess of water from my sister wanting it to change color, but some of the makeup products for the head turned out to be worthless, as they clumped easily and turned into a sticky mess on the head which was difficult to clean off. Another toy that I got I didn't play with. I always preferred Barbies or Polly Pocket, and my mother had made it clear that I wasn't to be given Bratz dolls for a toy, which I didn't mind. My mother thought (and rightfully so) that the dolls were too sexualized for young girls, so you can imagine her irritation when someone deliberately ignored her wishes and gave me a Bratz doll. I didn't bother to play with it, so I always thought that this person just wasted their money, and I hoped that they learned their lesson about respecting someone's wishes.
