    Planning or Spontaneity

    Hey CNet!

Do you like making plans way in advance, or do you prefer to do things more spontaneously?

I am definitely a planner. My schedule is so jam-packed, I need to schedule things way in advance!

    Hi Anna,

I definitely am a bit spontaneous. We thought of getting married January 1st and the venue is booked for February 9th. Lol. My sister laughs at me all the time. I am too busy to plan. If I do it won’t get done.

    Have a great day!

    Hey Anna!

I like to know it ahead of time. I can enjoy a spontaneous adventure as much as the next person but more times than not, I only want a spontaneous adventure is if that was planned to happen. Haha.

    Hey Anna!

I wish I was more of a planner, but planning kind of stresses me out. I'm more of a one step at a time person. I also have such a bad memory that even when I try to plan, I always end up forgetting something haha. Maybe someday I'll be a list and plan kind of person, although I don't really see that happening.

    Best,

    Re: Planning or Spontaneity

    Hi Anna!

I'm the kind of person who likes to have everything planned out in high detail. And not just for myself; I make plans upon plans for other people too. Of course, I recognize the importance of flexibility. But that usually just means I have different sets of plans for all kinds of different ways a scenario could turn out. Or rather, I always have a big-picture plan with structure, and then allow the individual modules to be flexible. Spontaneity can be fun, like randomly getting food with friends and such. But for the vast majority of things, I have a well-considered plan. I'm somebody who flourishes under a structure, so I make sure to consider that when deciding on my course of action.

    All the best,
    Matt

    Good morning,

My husband and I made plans to go to Florida to surprise his parents at Christmas time but 3 days before we were leaving his dad passed away. That shocked us. Needless to say we ended up down in the dumps, but we still went to Florida for a week and a half. I guess planning is not all its cracked up to be.

    Hi Anna,

Good question. I am really spontaneous. I pretty much hate to plan things ahead of time. That might change when I get older and have kids and their activities and a job and all. I hope it does a little, but I hope to keep a little bit of spontaneity.

Jenelu, I am so sorry that happened. Wow.
