Forum: The Drugs you didn't know about
Subject: The Drugs you didn't know about
This is sort of a spinoff from my other forum about parenting, and this may be good knowledge for people, especially parents with teenagers, or those working in retail.

All of you know about the regular drugs: weed, alcohol, cocaine...etc. but these are regular household items that kids have learned to get high off of.

~cough syrup (it takes about an avg of 1-2 bottles to "trip" off it, that is why RI and MA passed laws with limitations on cough syrup and cold pills, and you have to be 18 yrs old to buy)

~whip cream in a can
now you may be like "what the heck?" here's how they do it. they push the button down so no whip cream comes out, just the gas that keeps the container pressurized. they inhale the gas out of it

~white out (inhalation)

~plug in air fresheners (certain vapors cause a way to get high)

~chore boys(the metal sponge)
another "huh?" kind of thing. what they do is take apart the chore boy and stuff it in a pipe and smoke it. most people get severe munchies afterwards.(i saw a customer come in and buy a chore boy and as much food as he could afford, and he was already high)

~mix baby formula with cocaine or other powdered drug

~anything aerosol

~a whole bottle of nutmeg (and i'm serious)

and just for another note:
if you know your going to have a drug test done (for work or whatever), don't eat anything poppyseed. poppyseeds have the same chemicals as most street drugs and it will fail you in your test.

bet you didn't know some of this stuff

Subject: Re: If you were a parent, would you do this?
as far as the WIC goes, they can't black market it. in the state of MASS theres a card with your signature on it, and the checks have your name on it. your signature on your card has to match exactly on the check when you sign it. everything has to be certified. there's no way for them to black market it because its government officiated, if a person doesn't have the card or the signature doesn't match, we can't take it. it also has expiration dates. the limit is whatever the checks are unless they plan to pay for them. we have to turn down people, no matter how much of an arguement they give us, because the store loses money if the checks aren't validated. and they can get fined by the state if we violate anything. if the check says two, they can only get two on that check. the lady had 4 checks, 2 of them had 2 cans each check, and the other had 3 cans each check. we do have a huge problem with people stealing it because of drugs, so we end up locking the majority of it up most of the time. i could get into basic things people use for drugs, a grocery store is home to many homemade drugs to get high off of. in fact maybe i will write a forum just on how people get high off things in a grocery store and ridiculous it is.
