Hi everyone, I am pleased to be here to share my thoughts and check what's everyone has on their mind.
I have a great passion for science and biology particularly. My areas of interest include Cytology, cytopathology, biology of diseases, parasitology, Cancer biology, patient care, infectious disease control, diagnostics, and more.I also enjoy information exchange and diversity.
I am looking forward to know you all, and hopefully develop a network of professionals from different areas. I am also excited to maybe accumulate some financial support to pay off my school, as you all know the cost of tuitions, and especially those who are in the medical field know the struggle.

Hello everyone! Just a newbie on CNET! I'm looking forward to meeting and talking with you all! :)

The reason why I'm here is just like the rest of you: because I need some financial help in order to fulfill my undergraduate career. It's been a tough road, but so far I'm really enjoying this forum! Even if winning is great, I'm gaining a lot more than just money - but intellectual thoughts and opinions. Thank you all for sharing!

And thank you to everyone who votes for me! It does not go unnoticed or under appreciated! :)

Hello everyone. I am a mother of three wonderful children. They are my life. I attended Cameron University. I graduated with a BS in Criminal Justice and Sociology. Like many on here, I am trying to reduce my student loan debt.

I am the first generation in my family to attend and graduate college.

I hope to return to school. I could easily become a professional student. I love to learn, meet new people, hear others' ideas, and find it fascinating on all the subject and topics available at the college level. It is much like a candy store to me....I will take one of those, and one of those, ohhhhhhh and two of those.

I currently work in the correctional field. It is a rewarding job, and never boring. I always tell everyone.....the same routine but never the same day.

I look forward to this adventure on CNET, and hope to make some great friends along the way!

Hey there,

My name is Gleb and I am from Belarus! I came to America with my mother at the age of eight, an experience that completely changed my life and my future.

Growing up in America away from my family was tough, however I knew that it was for the best. I am extremely thankful for being blessed with the opportunity to move to the USA and receive a quality education.

Today I am a student at the University of Washington in Seattle, pursuing my dream of becoming a mechanical engineer. I began to chase this dream after discovering my burning passion for repairing and restoring automobiles at fifteen years old.

College costs are overwhelming! Therefore, by joining this community I aim to meet new people and hopefully score myself some aid to pay off the expenses.

Thanks for visiting my page!

Hi everyone!

I'm really excited to be here! I am a returning adult, so I already have a Bachelors in Fine Arts, but now I am getting my Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Information Technology. The reason is because I wanted a "second chance" at life, I guess you could say, since I moved away from my previous career. ^_^

I recently found out that my Financial Aid ran out due to my previous degree. Which means I will have to pay for school out of pocket. The time that I found out about this is around the same time I found out about CNET. You can call it fate!

I am now doing my best to find scholarships to complete school. I want to thank those who have voted for me SO SO SO much. You have all changed my life and have given me unlimited possibilities and hope.

I wish you all the very best! ^_^

My name's Megan, and I like math. And CollegeNET.

I'm working on my second Bachelor's Degree at the University of Washington Bothell. It's a public school with a private school feel. I'm thankful to be at a small school where I can actually get to know my professors.

I work as a teaching assistant in college algebra classes, and it's my favorite job ever. There's something so rewarding about seeing adult students push through to understand something they never thought they could. My job is a big part of the reason I decided to go back to school and pursue a degree in math.

The plan is to finish up a second bachelor's degree, and then grad school. Somewhere. Maybe.

I'm excited to start some conversations with you all.

I made an account last year to quickly vote for someone on here but just became active on 6/15/15. I can't believe how much I love this site already. Thank you to all for making it so welcoming, for the votes and responses!

I'm a hairstylist by trade (10 years on 4/4/15) & went back to school for a degree in business/amin. Unfortunately, like many of you, the school loans grew larger and larger. I have hopes of one day taking over the salon I'm in. But I need some serious help with these school loans before that dream happens. So here I am.

I am thrilled to be a part of this community, to learn, grow and discuss all the different topics on here. Thanks for taking the time to check out my profile. I look forward to this adventure with you all.

Hey everyone!

My real name is Rosine; I am a shy girl with a big afro although I neither look nor acts like a shy girl. I am originally from West Africa. I learned English about 13 years ago. French and Ewe are my primary languages; I enjoy learning new languages so I am currently teaching myself Japanese. I need someone to practice with. I love cooking as much as I love eating. I occasionally love a glass of wine and enjoy reading a lot, I also love writing poem because it is the best outlet for whatever is going on with me. I received my bachelor about 5 years ago in Psychology, took some time off to try and reduce my loans before returning to school. I recently went back to finish my masters, I started before then stop when I had a mini quarter life crisis. I currently work with kids; there is something about taking care of kids that relax me. I have adorable nephews and nieces that keep me smiling when I have a bad day. By fall, my loan will be around 40,000; I am hoping by the time I am done with school, I will have at least half of it paid off. I am pretty quiet in person at first but once I get to know you a bit I can be quite talkative. I can talk non-stop or be completely silent and it is perfectly fine for me, silence does not make me uncomfortable. There are a lot of changes I am making in my life but I do appreciate everything and everyone I have in my life.

I am grateful for those of you who have voted for me and for those just getting to know me. So thank you for visiting my profile. This has been a fascinating experience.

About me: Empty nest-er and working on my doctorate in education. I'm happily remarried. I am helping my kids pay for their first degrees before I can justify paying for my third. So, CNETers I need you. We need each other.

Love to dance, throw parties, eat out, work hard, hang with friends, and be with my husband or dog, whichever one is around!!

I will figure out how to fix my video so you can see me and then I can say hi personally!

Hello there! I'm Jared. I recently completed my Master of Science in Anatomy and Advanced Forensic Anthropology at the University of Dundee. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the Indiana University of PA. I completed both degrees with honors distinction. I will be working toward my second master's degree in fall 2015.

Despite all of my hard work and dedication to my academics, I had little success securing scholarship funds and had to rely on loans to pay for most of my education. I'm currently in A LOT of student loan debt, and it's become quite stressful to try to manage the payments. Despite my financial circumstance, I view my education and related experiences as invaluable aspects of my life that simply cannot be defined by monetary value. I live with no regrets, and take obstacles and set backs as learning experiences that can be overcome. I'm confident that with continued hard work, dedication, and a positive attitude that I can reach my goals and eventually get all of my student loans paid off! (:

Hello World! I'll make this short and sweet. :) I'm graduating high school this year (Yay Class of 2015!!), and I am really looking forward to college... just not looking forward to paying for it. I am unsure of my major but definitely leaning toward engineering.

A few other things about me: I love sports and art and music. My favorite color would have to be blue. And I love bacon. <3 The end.

Hi everyone. My name is Deanna. I have received degrees in Business Administration and in Technical / Project Management. I currently work with a Global Engineering and Consulting company in the IT group. I have a daughter and a niece heading off to college in about 4 months, both 18 yrs old and both graduating high school in about 6 weeks.

I am a new member of CollegeNet. I am certainly hoping to obtain some of the scholarship monies to help pay off my student loan debt and am hoping my girls might win some too and not come out of school with as much debt as I did.

I also love to meet new people and have ‘intelligent’ discussions. I am seeing many interesting forums here to stir my intellectual curiosity and certainly looks like a great place to make some new friends. Looking forward to getting to know you and learning with you. Nothing like a friendly competition that can help you better yourself.

Hello to all at Cnet! My name is Joyce and I am soon to be 41 years old and going back to college. I am proud to enter into the Cnet community and meet new people and open my thoughts to different perspectives. It has been 10 years since I have attended school, and now it is time to finish my Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice.
I am currently employed as a Human Resource Representative at a detention center or in other words, a jail facility. I have went from being a Detention Officer, to Sergeant and then up the ladder to HR. Human Resource is not exactly what I wanted to do but it is a job and it is within the field of corrections for which I went to college for. Eventually, I would like to apply for Law School and become a lawyer in the Natural Oil and Gas Industry.
I have a wonderful supportive family that I love very much. My family means the world to me and watching my kids grow gives me the admiration to succeed in all that I do. They are my strength and my drive to be anything I want to be. At the same time I encourage my husband and children to do the same. REACH FOR THE STARS!

Greetings fellow CollegeNET members. I attended Southern Nazarene University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics alongside an Associate's degree in Equestrian Management. I look forward to continuing my education either through an MBA or JD program here in the next couple of years.

I enjoy many aspects of society and life, my top three would be Science & Technology, Politics, and Economics. However I do like to submerge myself in many discussion and circles of thought.

Please feel free to reach out to me through CollegeNET!

Hey everyone I am the oldest of 5 boys and I just finished my first year of college at Kalamazoo College. Due to some financial circumstances and other factors I will be transferring to the University of Wisconsin-Madison to finish my undergraduate degree! I intend to pursue a degree in Genetics and eventually work as a medical researcher, so I have quite a bit of schooling ahead of me. Thanks for visiting my page and I look forward to having great conservations with you here on CollegeNET!

Here is a Buddhist proverb that I just love and right now it keeps me sane

Do not pursue the past
Do not lose yourself in the future
The past no longer is
The future has not yet come
Looking deeply at life as it is
In the very here and now, the practitioner dwells in stability and freedom

I think it is time for an update! I am starting to look at this whole CollegeNet thing differently, as I am about to celebrate my 3 month anniversary here. I am still thankful for each and every vote received and each and every comment left on my posts.

When I started, I really just wanted to win some money and this posting business seemed like something I had to do in order to make that happen. But now, I almost NEED to post. And to see what has been posted. I think the hardest part of my day is when I try to answer a post and see that I have already hit 5 posts. It just about kills me sometimes.

And no one was more surprised than I was when I started becoming invested in the people on here. When some of you start a story and don't update it on what has happened I kind of feel like it is a book with the last chapter missing. I like being a part of this community and I have grown attached to hearing about your lives! When I miss a few days, I feel like I have let us all down!

If anyone wants to reach me, my email is akfallon@hotmail.com

Good luck to all of you and thank you for bringing me good luck!

Hello my name is Kayla. 始めました!

I am a recent biomedical engineering graduate, who will be continuing my education next year. Because financial aid for graduate students is practically nonexistent & I have close to nothing as a college saving, just like others here on CollegeNET I need as much support as I cant get. In return, I hope to help and support others here as much as I can. :)

About me:

This last May 2015 I finally receieved my bachelors in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan, so officially I am a biomedical engineer!! I worked very hard for both this and an International Minor, and graduated magna cum laude (0.007 away from summa cum laude!). In September I will return for my masters in Medical Product Development, which I am definitely excited for!

During my undergraduate years, I worked in a Biomechanics Research Lab making valuable contributions in research concerning pelvic floor impairments, ACL injuries, and head impact injuries. I also worked as an organic chemistry study group facilitator/tutor, and was involved in mentoring programs. Additionally with my International Minor, I studied two years of Japanese.

Last summer I was also given the wonderful opportunity to study abroad in Nagoya, Japan at Nagoya University. This was without a doubt, my most valuable and cherished college experiences. Not only did I take enlightening cultural and humanity classes, but I also performed biochemical engineering research in the Asanuma Laboratory. On campus and during my travels across Japan, I met so many fun and interesting people from across the world. Not only did I get to practice my Japanese with them, but I learned new perspectives and was taught things I would've never learned in the U.S.

Some of my current hobbies include art, studying Japanese, reading manga, watching anime and crime TV, and keeping in touch with my friends and family.

Hey There, I'm Marteen :]

Thanks for stopping by! I decided to update my profile even though I am now a graduate. I am so grateful for all the money CollegeNet has given me and not to mention all the candidates who have helped me with my success.

As of now I am a Electronic Media and Film major and I am minoring in Parks and Recreation Management. Why? I love camp and I really am passionate about working at camp! I would love to be a camp videographer or photographer, travel to camps to make videos to help promote them, or one day own my own camp/film camp.

I have one more year of school and then I am done, what a life changing past couple years it has been and I would not change it for the world.

I wish everyone luck who is competing from here on out. If you stick to it and understand the process you will definitely be successful!

Thanks for everything! :D

Here is a Buddhist proverb that I just love and right now it keeps me sane

Do not pursue the past
Do not lose yourself in the future
The past no longer is
The future has not yet come
Looking deeply at life as it is
In the very here and now, the practitioner dwells in stability and freedom

Hi, I’m Melinda. I’m 20 years old and I have 9 siblings. I currently live with my mom and 4 younger siblings. I work part time for a public library and take classes full time online.

I was homeschooled. I have just transferred to Southern New Hampshire University and will be getting my bachelors degree online in creative writing. My long term goal is to get my masters in library science. A child’s experience in a library at a young age can greatly affect their attitude towards reading. I want to be the kind of children’s librarian that helps children develop a lifelong love for reading, and teaches them that with a little bit of imagination a book can come to life.

I love reading and writing. I can’t live without books, books, and more books. Whenever I have spare time which isn’t nearly enough I love to read and write.

My Name is Erin. I am a mother, wife and a nurse. I love life. My posts are typically either from work related topics, my toddler/parenting and most everyday life.

I joined CollegeNet to help pay back my tons and tons of student loans. I've completed about 7 years of college but I'm not a doctor, just a nurse. I never really knew what I was doing in life or where I wanted to go, so during my journey, I racked up the student loans. Lesson learned.

Good luck to everyone. I look forward to reading everyone's forums and comments.

My Gmail is Heather73107 if you would like to talk more.

Hi Everybody! I don't really know what to say here, I joined CollegeNET because I have quite a lot of student loans to pay off, as I'm sure you all do. Anyways, I hope this can be a fun experience and maybe I can meet some friends while earning some money towards my debt. :)

I graduated with a Political Science degree, I am currently living with my parents and I am pregnant with my first child, due in May. I can't wait!! I love food (and chocolate obviously), traveling, outdoor activities, and just hanging out with my family and friends.

Hello,

My name is Omanah!

I live in Tampa, Florida with my daughter and Husband. I am currently attending Hillsborough Community College for my Associates in art. From there I plan to transfer to Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta Georgia, where I will be going for my Masters in Computer Animation. Walt Disney is my Idol. His perused and achieve success is so inspirational to me.

In my free time I doodle, write, read manga and watch a ton of anime.

My future goals are to become a fortune 500 company owner. I do not believe in stepping on others to get what I want. I believe in being honest and telling the truth even if it hurts, my friends and professors tell me that I am very blunt; I see it as being factual. There is never an easy path in life, at least not for everything. It is because of that reason, I believe, people should not only come together but work together but to compromise. Things don't always work the way we want and that is okay. One just has to push though it. Success is not for the weak.

I am a very moral person as you can see, I believe in people and second chances however I am not a push over. I love debates and involvement in controversy conversation, so long as it is in an adult manor, everyone has a voice/opinion. People will not always agree, I understand that.

Thank you for stopping by :)

Bio: My name is Morgan (everyone calls me Mo). I am a student at MidAmerica Nazarene University studying Nursing. I love Jesus, my fiancé, my family, dance, and photography! I am a spunky personality. I'm stubborn and hard-headed, but a total softie when it comes to people I love the most. I have absolutely loved being a part of the CNet family thus far. It has been so wonderful getting to participate every day, and I look forward to more weeks to come!

Also, I want to thank everyone who has read my posts and forums and for the people who have voted for me. I am in a intense nursing program that costs me a lot of money and every little bit I earn on CNet makes a huge differece. Thank all of you!

I graduated with a Political Science degree, I am currently living with my parents and I am pregnant with my first child, due in May. I can't wait!! I love food (and chocolate obviously), traveling, outdoor activities, and just hanging out with my family and friends.

Here is a Buddhist proverb that I just love and right now it keeps me sane

Do not pursue the past

Hello all!

My name is Courtney and I'll tell you a little bit about me. I am 20 years old and recently became a Certified Medical Assistant. I also just started a new job and I love it because it gives me the opportunity to help those who need it. I'm originally from Kellogg Idaho, which is a very small town, but I'll always love it, even when I hate it.

I live with my best friend from high school and our two puppies, who are spoiled rotten, but they are very loved. I am dating an awesome guy and have been for almost two years now, and I love my family more than anything. I'm very family oriented.

I plan to continue my education at some point down the road, and it would be really helpful to have a little bit of assistance with that, which is why I think this site will be a great experience.

Hello everyone and thanks for checking out my profile. My story isn't that complicated. I decided at the tender age of 48 that I hated working in retail and that it was time to start following my bliss. I went back to school and got my bachelors in mathematics and now I am a data analyst which I love. I also piled up a mound of student debt that I don't love and I am hoping to help reduce it. Thanks for stopping by and have a day of love and joy and adventure.

I am an aspiring political scientist, and I believe I can change the world...or at least the world in which I live. I am a full-time PhD student in political science and public administration. I am interested in the intersection of technology and government, and believe the tools we have can make big change! I've worked in higher education administration since 2006, and decided to give it all up to further my education in 2014 (yikes!).

My loves include my two dogs, Crumb and Choco, my family, cooking, Chicago, and Chicago sports teams (Go Bears! Go Blackhawks! Go White Sox! Go Bulls...sorry Cubs).

I'd love to connect in other places online. If you connect, please let me know you're from CNET!

I graduated with a Political Science degree, I am currently living with my parents and I am pregnant with my first child, due in May. I can't wait!! I love food (and chocolate obviously), traveling, outdoor activities, and just hanging out with my family and friends.

<3 The end.

Hi Everyone.
My name is Monique, but most everyone calls me Mo or MoMo. Im now in my mid thirties, I have five kiddos ranging from teenage to toddler. I'm a nurse and have put off paying off my student loans forever, so I'm hoping that this Cnet thing can help put some funds towards those debts.

Here is a Buddhist proverb that I just love and right now it keeps me sane

Do not pursue the past
Do not lose yourself in the future
The past no longer is

Looking deeply at life as it is
In the very here and now, the practitioner dwells in stability and freedom

Hi friends,

A lot has changed since I last posted. I am currently a Junior and a French major at the University of Notre Dame. I'm a first generation college student hoping to get rid of the debt that I currently owe!

Life is always chaotic and I've been traveling a lot, so it's hard to make time to post, but whenever I can I will try to hop on the site.

Best of luck to you all!

I graduated from college in 2013 with a degree in History and minor in Educational Studies.
After working in an office for 2 years, I've decided to go back to school to achieve my dream of becoming a History teacher. It's something I should have done while in college, but I became doubtful for several reasons. However, I'm older, more mature, and the dream remains. It's better late than never.
Unfortunately, I have student loans from my undergrad years plus future loans for returning to complete a Masters of Arts. This site seems to be full of people who are trying to encourage and support one another. So I thought I would try it.
Thank you all for taking time to read my posts/comments! I look forward to conversing with all of you!

I am a 24 year old student who is trying to go back to school after battling with depression and still fighting cancer. My goal is to become a professor so I can spread the joy of classical literature in hands on and creative ways. I worked myself to the bone my first time around to achieve two associates degrees, finishing with 11k in debt. I'm back at it again, I will be attending this fall semester (fall'15) at the University of Wyoming. My ultimate goal is to get my Masters degree, and pursue my PhD at another University since it is not offered at my current one. With these degrees I will become a college/university professor and pass on my love of learning and the language arts.

I've been through some tough times in my life, but that has not stopped be from being the head strong, stubborn individual that I am today. I know what I want in life, I have a plan and a budget, and I am willing to work myself into the ground to achieve my goals.

Hi all,

My name is Karlie Paschall. I am 25 years old.I got married right out of high school to my husband. We have now been married for seven years, all of which I have committed to going to school, and he has worked to help get me through school. It's been trying at times, but I have a goal of helping children and families someday. I am currently finishing up my last semester at the University of Idaho. I'll be graduating in December with my Bachelors in Child Development/Family Consumer Sciences degree. I have an 18 month old son, and another baby due in March! I am currently applying for the Masters program with Boise state in the school of Social Work. I am a busy momma, but hope someday to obtain my LCSW, and my dream is to be a child and family counselor, or work with children and families. I have just recently been accepted to work for Early Head start as an intern. It's been very eye opening so far, but hasn't turned me away from my passion. I would love help to continue with my goals, of finishing up school and moving on to graduate school. Help through this site with scholarships would most certainly complete my dream. Good luck to everyone!

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for the voting for me and posting on my forums! I am grateful for the scholarships I have won and hope to continue to get to know you all through our forums.

A little bit about me... My name is Dessa and I have always been on the hunt for scholarships. I am attending Western Washington University (GO VIKINGS!) with a double major in History and Anthropology concentrating in Archaeology. I am also double minoring in Arabic and Islamic Studies and Geographic Information Systems. I am really glad to have the opportunity to share my thoughts about almost any subject and have the ability to win a scholarship while doing that!

My name is Marie and I am a wife to an amazing hubby of 18 (almost 19!) years and we have 2 beautiful daughters who I love and adore with everything I have. Getting to be with these three people everyday make my life complete and keep me striving to do better. I really am blessed! I would love to be able to pay off my student loans so I can continue to save for college and other things for my kiddos! Plus earning free money is kinda cool!

I am also a nurse and I LOVE taking care of people. Nursing is a career to which you need dedication, reliability, trust and a whole lot of heart. I believe that I have these skills and I am lucky enough to have amazing coworkers who posses them as well. I love working in a team setting for the greater good of someone other than myself. I genuinely want to make a difference to people, and to help them and their families through anything they maybe going through.

I am trying to win these scholarships so I can pay off my student loans so I can cut back some at work. As I said before my girls are my heart and I really want a little more time at home with them! Happy voting!

Hi Everybody! I don't really know what to say here, I joined CollegeNET because I have quite a lot of student loans to pay off, as I'm sure you all do. Anyways, I hope this can be a fun experience and maybe I can meet some friends while earning some money towards my debt. :)

I graduated with a Political Science degree, I am currently living with my parents and I am pregnant with my first child, due in May. I can't wait!! I love food (and chocolate obviously), traveling, outdoor activities, and just hanging out with my family and friends.

My name is Nichole, I am 23 years old. I currently am in college aiming for a Bachelor's degree in Technical Management with a concentration in Criminal Justice & psychology. I am also a CEO/Founder of an aspiring non-profit organization, that raise's awareness & provides support for those affected by any type of facial condition or illness.

I am a mother before anything & everything else.I have two boys that are my world. My oldest will be 3 in November & my youngest is almost a year old. I am a full time mom, & plan on being out of school before my oldest starts school.

By obtaining more scholarships along my college journey, I can use this to complete school faster & with less financial burdens. In my mind - me bettering myself &opening up more opportunities for myself in the future, is me trying to do, or be "better" for my kids to be able to do as well as possible, or have more opportunities opened up to them, as a result of my choices and hard work. It's my ultimate goal to be the best person I can be so my kids can want better for them self.

After I am awarded my Bachelor's degree I plan on going back to school to earn a bachelor's in psychology. I currently am working on Bachelors degree in Technical Management with Criminal Justice as my major & Psychology as a minor.

Forensic Psychologist, that is the ultimate career I am aiming to obtain. I recently have became very interesting in becoming an online college professor later in life. I think this is the career I will enter into after I retire from being a forensic psychologist.

I am currently in college part-time due to my financial assistance, I would love nothing more than to be able to afford to be a full-time student, even if it's only for a semester or two. I have no outside help, & have reach my aggregated loan limits - meaning I no longer can take out any more student loans toward this undergrad degree.

I am in hope of obtaining scholarships, and switching my status from part-time to full-time. This will allow me to finish school a lot faster, as a result of that, I will be able to get a better paying job faster, and can start on my next degree and next goal.

I want to wish you all the best of luck in obtaining the scholarships offered weekly here at CollegeNet, and also wanted to say Thank You ahead of time - to those who vote for me for both taking the time to vote for me and for helping me achieve my goals.

Welcome welcome to my profile page! I'm sure you're the first in ages to visit, so don't mind the cobwebs or the fort made of ramen noodle cups.

I'm at the 6 year mark in my Architectural Doctoral program, working on some very real upper level work that will doubtless consume my life with studio projects and internships where I have to wear a tie (turns out I don't!). I've been living/sleeping on the floor of various rooms for years now, and don't really mind it, though the building does have this one rat (only one...) and he ate a muffin I'd hidden in my desk once. Bastard. Still, when you get enough sleep the classes are fun, and I'm super tight with a bunch of other huge nerds in the program too. Seriously, I'm amazed we don't wear suspenders.

After I graduate from Hogwarts, I plan on zipping about the world in a really snazzy way working for various architecture firms and getting myself a whole ton of experience. I know many good people in a few countries now that are professionals, and who knows, maybe I'll get to work for them and be all worldly while I make buildings...in the world. It would be neat, anyways. But after all that I'm going to open my own firm! Oh yes, I even have a name picked out, but it's secret. I shall bask in design work as my own boss from then on, doing architecture, music, art, graphic design, world design in games, even collaborating with my favorite game companies to help them work on new titles. Oh the joy. Sometimes I just sit and glow to myself.

Oh, my "video" is me holding my thumb over the camera while an awesome quote plays from a movie. I like my anonymity just as much as V.

UPDATE

In the middle of getting my masters degree in architecture from Tongji University in Shanghai, focusing on a methodology of space architecture and applying it to conditions here on Earth. Only have to worry about this stuff till the end of spring, then it's off to Singapore for a practicum at SAA architects before finally getting back to Hawai'i, phew! While this is a fantastic opportunity for me and I'll be able to do a lot with this degree for the rest of my life, it's gonna run a cool 55 grand to finish the China portion of my education. In short, you can expect to see me on here for a LONG time!

I'll see y'all around soon!

I dream of a day when the internet will read our minds and update our "profiles" itself. So- where to start? I've been here on collegenet off and on for the better part of the last four years. It (and its WONDERFUL community) has seen me through a heck of a lot- my AA, two BAs, a move across the country, a career change (or two), entrance to my MA program, and lots of other stuff in between; good times and bad, for better or worse, and here I am today.

What else? I'm 26, a single white female, with a semi-well toned, yet curvacious figure. I am the mother to two fine specimens- both black- a long haired cat named Gretal and a mini-schnauzer named Max. I enjoy long walks on the beach, a fine glass of wine, and taking the time to look up at the stars. (Who doesn't?) Some of my favorite hobbies include knitting, gardening, seeing a good concert, sleeping, spending time with the family, and exercise.

I've enjoyed my time here on CNet and all the wonderful experiences it's provided me with. It goes without saying that I am enormously grateful for the scholarship funds- I simply don't know if I would be where I am today, going where I am tomorrow, without such enormous support.

(Insert Miss America Wave) Thanks for the glorious opportunity...

I have been participating on CollegeNet since May of 2013. I'm so glad that I found this site through a good friend of mine. CollegeNet has truly changed my life! If you are just perusing through the site trying to figure out if CollegeNet is something you want to do, I encourage you to give it a try! It takes a lot of dedication and work, but in the end it will pay off and you will learn so much from a very diverse group of wonderful people! I graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer System Technologies in December of 2012. CollegeNet has helped me pay off 41% of my total student loan debt so far! Whoohoo!

Some things I like to do outside of work and Collegenet is chillin with my puppy Russle and spittin rhymes. He is aspiring to be a psychologist someday but will probably never achieve it since he refuses to get a job, or learn how to read. He’s such a free loader! I reside in Bloomington, Illinois, which is the 17th geekiest place to live according to Yahoo! News. It’s probably a good thing that I’m surrounded by my fellow geeks, because as you can imagine from my major, I am a total geek! ;) I also like to do at home arts and crafts projects, work out at the gym, and try out new recipes! I hope my profile was exciting as you hoped it to be, cause that’s all I got for ya!

Thanks for taking the time to read :D

Here is a Buddhist proverb that I just love and right now it keeps me sane

Do not pursue the past
Do not lose yourself in the future
The past no longer is
The future has not yet come
Looking deeply at life as it is
In the very here and now, the practitioner dwells in stability and freedom

To all my fellow Collegnetters and to Collegenet, first I would like to thank you for taking the time to view my profile and investing time to read this as well!

-If you haven't guessed yet, my name Is Maryam. I am a 19 year old, and attending Temple University for architecture. I love art, animals (Lots of posts involving animal rights and vegetarianism!), and travel.
- I am bilingual and enjoy teaching English as a second language, especially if I'm working with kids (Although I don't plan on making education my career).
- I've studied overseas, in Syria, for about 5 years, but moved back towards the end of my junior year in high school because of a breakout of civil war.(Which hopefully, some of you have heard of at least!) (If not go research it! It's all over the news!)(I pray that madness ends soon, it has been too long....)

So why do I need you votes??
- Simple enough, I am in need of financial aid, and not just loans I'll be paying back for the next 20 plus years! Who wants to be paying back student loans when their own kids are about to enter college!?

What makes me deserve your vote? (Trust me, I'm doing my best not to sound cocky... That can be a difficult task when it comes to writing these things!):
- I have a plan for my future. I know what I want to do with my life, and not only 'Hey, I want to go to college!'
- I really really want to go into architecture (as I have, and I believe in a way, it is my calling), although I'm not entirely positive what branch of architecture I want to do yet, but I have Architectural design in mind. Why architecture? It is a job that is demanded now-a-days, I love sketching and designing, and is a competitive careers, which by previous experience, I know is an environment that'll keep be motivated. I also plan to search for an internship in a firm during my junior year.
- I am grateful. I don't take things for granted, and I appreciate what I am given, no matter how small or big it may be! I know I am great need of financial help for school, and every penny is MUCH appreciated! I have worked very hard for where I am today, and I will continue to work just as hard for many many years to come.
- I want to make my mark on the world, I don't want to come and go as if I never existed. Yes, it's a fairly generic wish in the new and young generation, but why wouldn't it be?

Thank you! And may the votes be with you!

I'm almost finished with my first year of college. Yay me! I'm an art student who plans on writing movies and in the future producing them as well. As we all know the cost is not pretty and the risk of debt is high. We all have our reasons for joining and I'm hoping this site helps me pay off my tuition and possibly build friendship along the way. I love giving my opinions and I love getting them in return. Best of luck to everyone out there, I know we all need it.

Hi there friends! I just want to say a quick and huge thank you for all the votes, support, laughts, thoughts, and for the wonderful time you all help me have here. You are all amazing and help make this environment so great to be a part of. Truly, thank you thank you!

I want to do something different. *Evil laughing* If you don't gather from this that I'm rather creative, love to be goofy and dorky, and just love making people smile, then well..at least I tried right? But really now, I really hope this makes you smile. It's my Cnet Theme Song! Hope you like it!

Here's the lyrics! Follow or sing along if you'd like!!

"Im on this website,
Its name is Cnet,
All of my time is spent on it,
Trying to brainstorm,
Writing up forums,
That sometimes don't even get noticed,

Yeah I, I know it’s hard to imagine,
The minutes and hours we spend,
And even harder to think of,
Ideas that no one has thought of,

You say it's too hard to rank 10th
But I say give it a try,
And with all that drive you take in,
You'll be cruisin to the top,

I've had restless nights,
With thoughts of sign ins
And seeing no votes,
My heart sinks to the floor
That's when we gather strength
And our sleepy minds get overly creative.

I’m on this website,
Its name is Cnet,
All of my time is spent on it,
Trying to brainstorm,
Writing up forums,
That sometimes don't even get noticed,

If Cnet happened to never exist,
I would have no chance to write like this,
All my college bills would stack up so high
And I'd be forced to make McDonald's fries.

Oh yeah, you woke up early this morning,
With thoughts of writing a post,
But someone an hour before you,
Signed on and thought of it first,
Oh and there's two votes to be given,
Better think of them now,
Because if given last minute,
They might just move right past you.

We've had arguments,
With trolls and demands,
Now we're all best friends,
Yeah we'd like to believe but,
When we compete we're still
On our feet ready to climb up the ranks.

I’m on this website,
Its name is Cnet,
All of my time is spent on it,
Trying to brainstorm,
Writing up forums,
That sometimes don't even get noticed,

If Cnet happened to never exist,
I would have no chance to sing this song,
My days and nights would be boring and long,
And I'd be forced to sing another song.....like

"Call Me Maybe"
I love you Cnet!! "

It really means a lot to me and changed my life for the better.

If you are new here please stick around and give it a chance.

I consider Cnet to be a place I can talk with friends.

What I can guarantee is if you take the time to converse with me and write thoughtfully, I will most assuredly vote for you…

My Name is Eric and I am an aspiring social worker…

I have my associates in business administration and a bachelor’s in psychology

A few months till I start my two year master’s program in Social work

I graduated with honors and intend to hold myself to a high standard for the rest of my classes.

If you have any questions feel free to ask me here or my email ericvictorvelez1@gmail.com. I added a "1" to that address that you can remove, been getting spammed like crazy.

I cannot claim to have all the answers; in fact I am probably more confused and lost about life.

Once you think you are happy then it has a habit of changing.

“Life” is the biggest four letter word I have ever said

My goal is to look, listen, and learn… so feel free to teach me, I am an apt pupil .^_^.

I'm grateful to CNet and the people who have voted for me. I'm thrilled to have won CNet scholarships. CNet is the best kept secret. I've learned new things, made friends and earned scholarships the fun way on here.

I have been on cnet since the Summer before my junior year in high school (five years now). I graduated magna cum laude in May from Pace University in Manhattan (let me know if you want to visit). I majored in Communication Sciences and Speech Disorders on the education track.

"I'm doing my best to graduate on time, intern and go straight to grad school (an entry level position in my field requires a Master's), grad school is extremely competitive in my field-wish me luck." I wrote that years ago and can I just tell you that I have accomplished all of that! I have just started graduate school in my program at NYU!

My family has definitely gone through some rough times. My hero, my mother, died after fighting cancer on April 5th, 2013. She is my inspiration and you will definitely hear a lot about her on cnet.

Here is a link to my fundraising page with the American Cancer Society http://main.acsevents.org/goto/Lidia63

and my fundraising page with Support Connection http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/loren-alexander/walk2013

My mini resume:
-I have interned and volunteered in my field at a hospital, school, clinic and private practice
-I have volunteered helping the emotionally and physically disabled ride horses as a means of therapy
-I volunteer for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
-I am a member of National Students of Speech Language and Hearing Association on campus
-I ballroom dance and I am big into dancing lindyhop

If you'd like to be friends, add me on facebook www.facebook.com/loren.alexander or email me at la49013p@pace.edu It would be nice to chat without a 5 post maximum limit. Or if you like sending and receiving mail, message me for my address!

I hope to get to know all of you better through your posts (let your personality come through!). Thank you for your time and this amazing opportunity to fund my education and ward off debt from student loans! My family is forever grateful!

Hi there friends! I just want to say a quick and huge thank you for all the votes, support, laughts, thoughts, and for the wonderful time you all help me have here. You are all amazing and help make this environment so great to be a part of. Truly, thank you thank you!

I want to do something different. *Evil laughing* If you don't gather from this that I'm rather creative, love to be goofy and dorky, and just love making people smile, then well..at least I tried right? But really now, I really hope this makes you smile. It's my Cnet Theme Song! Hope you like it!

Here's the lyrics! Follow or sing along if you'd like!!

"Im on this website,
Its name is Cnet,
All of my time is spent on it,
Trying to brainstorm,
Writing up forums,
That sometimes don't even get noticed,

Yeah I, I know it’s hard to imagine,
The minutes and hours we spend,
And even harder to think of,
Ideas that no one has thought of,

You say it's too hard to rank 10th
But I say give it a try,
And with all that drive you take in,
You'll be cruisin to the top,

I've had restless nights,
With thoughts of sign ins
And seeing no votes,
My heart sinks to the floor
That's when we gather strength
And our sleepy minds get overly creative.

I’m on this website,
Its name is Cnet,
All of my time is spent on it,
Trying to brainstorm,
Writing up forums,
That sometimes don't even get noticed,

If Cnet happened to never exist,
I would have no chance to write like this,
All my college bills would stack up so high
And I'd be forced to make McDonald's fries.

Oh yeah, you woke up early this morning,
With thoughts of writing a post,
But someone an hour before you,
Signed on and thought of it first,
Oh and there's two votes to be given,
Better think of them now,
Because if given last minute,
They might just move right past you.

We've had arguments,
With trolls and demands,
Now we're all best friends,
Yeah we'd like to believe but,
When we compete we're still
On our feet ready to climb up the ranks.

I’m on this website,
Its name is Cnet,
All of my time is spent on it,
Trying to brainstorm,
Writing up forums,
That sometimes don't even get noticed,

If Cnet happened to never exist,
I would have no chance to sing this song,
My days and nights would be boring and long,
And I'd be forced to sing another song.....like

"Call Me Maybe"
I love you Cnet!! "

My Gmail is Heather73107 if you would like to talk more.

I am honest in all of my dealings, basically I think it is easier than lying.

I try to keep things simple. I am kind, I have compassion. I am me.(although life is not always simple)

THANK YOU for all of the help and support everyone has given me.
The help on writing, advice and understanding has been priceless. I am so thankful to have found CNET!

My name is Sarah. I live in Baton Rouge, LA.

I attended LSU in Baton Rouge for 5 years before transferring to LSUHSC (Health Science Center) in New Orleans to complete my undergraduate BS degree in Medical Technology in 2008. I work as a Medical Technologist at LSU-SVM (School of Veterinary Medicine), where I take care of the wonderful creatures, big and small, that show up at the doors of the SVM Clinics.

So why am I on CollegeNET?

I graduated with $30,000 in student loan debt. The scholarships I win will go towards helping me pay off the debt. I would like to go to graduate school to earn an MS, but I need to pay down the debt before I do go back to school.

I appreciate all your posts to my forums, for reading my forums, and for voting for me.

*Did you know that you can check this amount on www.nslds.ed.gov ?

I am very thankful for CollegeNet because it has afforded me the opportunity to finish my undergraduate degree. I am really happy to have the opportunity to pursue my passions and follow my dreams.

If you want, you can find me on facebook at facebook.com/notyouraveragemeg

Hi there friends! I just want to say a quick and huge thank you for all the votes, support, laughts, thoughts, and for the wonderful time you all help me have here. You are all amazing and help make this environment so great to be a part of. Truly, thank you thank you!

I want to do something different. *Evil laughing* If you don't gather from this that I'm rather creative, love to be goofy and dorky, and just love making people smile, then well..at least I tried right? But really now, I really hope this makes you smile. It's my Cnet Theme Song! Hope you like it!

Here's the lyrics! Follow or sing along if you'd like!!

"Im on this website,
Its name is Cnet,
All of my time is spent on it,
Trying to brainstorm,
Writing up forums,
That sometimes don't even get noticed,

Yeah I, I know it’s hard to imagine,
The minutes and hours we spend,
And even harder to think of,
Ideas that no one has thought of,

You say it's too hard to rank 10th
But I say give it a try,
And with all that drive you take in,
You'll be cruisin to the top,

I've had restless nights,
With thoughts of sign ins
And seeing no votes,
My heart sinks to the floor
That's when we gather strength
And our sleepy minds get overly creative.

I’m on this website,
Its name is Cnet,
All of my time is spent on it,
Trying to brainstorm,
Writing up forums,
That sometimes don't even get noticed,

If Cnet happened to never exist,
I would have no chance to write like this,
All my college bills would stack up so high
And I'd be forced to make McDonald's fries.

Oh yeah, you woke up early this morning,
With thoughts of writing a post,
But someone an hour before you,
Signed on and thought of it first,
Oh and there's two votes to be given,
Better think of them now,
Because if given last minute,
They might just move right past you.

We've had arguments,
With trolls and demands,
Now we're all best friends,
Yeah we'd like to believe but,
When we compete we're still
On our feet ready to climb up the ranks.

I’m on this website,
Its name is Cnet,
All of my time is spent on it,
Trying to brainstorm,
Writing up forums,
That sometimes don't even get noticed,

If Cnet happened to never exist,
I would have no chance to sing this song,
My days and nights would be boring and long,
And I'd be forced to sing another song.....like

"Call Me Maybe"
I love you Cnet!! "

My Gmail is Heather73107 if you would like to talk more.

Hello CNetters! I am a 25 year old graduate student finishing my thesis in English Literature while working 50 hours a week to support my growing family and pay off loans.

Currently juggling two careers: working as a computer technician at a university library in San Francisco and tutoring K-12 students in the evenings.

I hope to pay off my student loans as quickly as possible so I can escape the ever stacking interest and start saving up to buy a house ! My lovely partner is an incredible artist, and I want to support her ability to fill the world with beauty.

I was very excited to win the Rookie Prize, and am very glad to have discovered CollegeNet! I love the community here and sharing ideas with all of you. Good luck to us all!

Mentoring advice--- I would say be true to yourself, the falseness will catch up to you in some of the best karma ways.

I think everyone on CNET is brilliant, I believe everyone is amazing. I think that everyone has a big bag of awesomeness.

You are awesome!
