One lie leads to another?
Do you think one lie leads to another?

Re: One lie leads to another?
In many cases it does. Sometimes it's just one little lie and it ends immediately. While In most cases, one lie leads to another lie to cover up the first lie. Then another lie to cover up the first two lies. It's a very vicious cycle. And so on so forth.

When people tell a lie, it just makes the situation worst.

Thou shalt not lie.

Eventually people are not going to trust you.

I understand a white lie to lessen a situation but it always stands to reason that it will back fire. I do believe one lie will lead to another.

Of course. You lie about one thing and to cover it up you have to cover it up with more lies. Lies upon lies. Just like a flaky biscuit that just came out of the oven. I'm sure it is hard for forgetful people to lie because you always have to work at remembering the lies you made before, and to keep track of all these lies is just too hard to handle. So the best bet is to think about what the best alternative is and just go from there. It is embarrassing to see when people lie about minuscule things and they get caught, so they just stutter and look like a blithering idiot that no one will trust because they lied. It happens though. Just think before you speak and know that women can tell if you are lying or not, MEN ! Sometimes women are more successful at "hiding the truth".

Absolutely! Telling the truth always makes the story simpler.

I guess the only way this is not true is if you count omission as lieing. If you can't that, then the answer has to be no. Spoken lies, though, Absolutely!

One of my teachers has a common phrase when talking about people who lie about something - "Well, they'll lie about other things too".

I do think that this is true. Usually when telling one lie you end up having to tell several lies to keep yourself out of trouble, or whatever the situation may be.

When you begin to lie about little things and don't find yourself stopping it's easy to get caught up and start lying about bigger things as well.

of course it does you tell one lie and then your gonna have to tell another one to help (cover up)support the other lie you told and so on........
