Forgetfulness
I am so forgetful lately... I can't remember anything. I've tried to keep a planneer, but I usually forget to even write stuff in it or I lose it! I guess it's stress!!! Any advise?

Does anyone else feel this way?

Re: Forgetfulness
I know I do, I do think it is stress,For me I am getting ready to Graduate high school and within the same month I am off to college there is so much to do, so much to get ready, So many things to buy to get ready for dorm living,All the while still working being on a bowling league going to school going to vocational school babysitting my newphews and niece. I sware I don't know how
I get a chance to breathe. So forgetfulness is so much a result of stressful living.I am only 18 so I hope it isn't an age thing.lol

Re: Forgetfulness
i can also be forgetful sometimes... (maybe it's because i hit my head a lot on different places... lol!!! but it cant be of old age either... hehe... not even 17 yet!!) anyway... yeah i can probably be due to stress... graduation coming up ... then college...

i think the best way to deal with this is to make time for rest.. you know just to breathe a little... try going to the park or maybe just lying in your bed doing nothing.. yes i know you're probably busy... but think of it this way, mommyonamission.... it's better to use a couple of minutes to try to rest yourself than having to forget important things that you might regret... i dunno... it's worth trying... hehe... there's nothing wrong in trying something new right?

i hope this forgetfulness spell of yours wears off... and that you'll be fine... take care!! ^_^

Re: Forgetfulness
I have a little experience in this subject. I am even considering going to a memory clinic. But I have just enough medical knowledge to make me dangerous too.
Forgetfulness is most likely caused by stress in the teens, 20's and 30's. However, hormone influxuations can cause memory problems, lack of or poor sleep (restless leg syndrome, sleep apnea)It is rare, but in younger adults and teens, especially those who do a lot of sitting or don't get the proper exercise, small clots can starve little parts of the brain for oxygen (stokes).
Most people know that if someone has weakness/numbness on one side of the body, they may be having a stroke, but less known is a sudden slurring of words, speaking inappropriate words, sometimes the only signs are dizziness, nausea and/or weakness. There are strokes that give no signs that one would guess was a stroke and there are no signs other than sudden onset of increased forgetfulness.
But stress would be my guess.
