Science VS. God: The Age Long Question
So, I'm sitting here thinking, if science says that we evolved from monkeys and so forth, who's not to say that God didn't provide that evolution? Is it possible that both are are right? Where does the point where what God gives us and what science tells us begins?

I've pondered this before and thought the same thing as you! I'm rather agnostic so I don't have a set belief but I ponder a lot of things and try to educate myself of different religions.

However, I was speaking to a devout Christian who is a pharmacologist. So you can imagine how big a science buff he is. I had this conversation with him once and he said that nobody would agree with that because it can't be proven. God cannot be proven and evolution cannot be proven. Both are theories. And just as you can't prove them, they can't be disproved either.

What I like about this theory is that people will stop fighting about Darwinism and divine creation. Or at least, they will have to use their imaginations and cook up something else to argue about. (I wonder what the next age old argument will be) Oh and by the way, I don't understand how devout Christians don't believe in Darwinism when it applies to evolution but the devout Christians that are part of the Republican party use Social Darwinism to justify business practices and why some groups of people are of "lower caliber" than they are. If somebody could attempt to explain that double standard to me, I'd appreciate it.

I'm wondering where God came from. Was He always there? Did He hatch out of an egg? Did He evolve from a rock? Were there rocks before Him?

While I agree it's a good idea to keep a level head and remain civil in these discussions, there's an error in your statement, luringattraction, that happens to bring up a REALLY good point.

"God cannot be proven and evolution cannot be proven. Both are theories. And just as you can't prove them, they can't be disproved either."

This is not correct. I won't even go into what might constitute proof for evolution. Nearly all scientists, many European religious authorities, and much of the world already understands how much there really is. What I will point out is that evolution CAN be disproved. There are many many things that WOULD disprove evolution. The famous saying is "fossil rabbits in the precambrian." Likewise ANY fossil found out of order would effectively disprove evolution. Likewise, spontaneous appearance of evolved features in two distantly related species would do the trick as well.

Imagine that there was a creator, they just made some birds and now they're moving on to bats. Why not use feathers? They work, they're pretty... if that happened, if you found a bat with bird feathers, you'd have proof of design and evolution would be false.

Scientific theories are by their definition falsifiable. That's what gives them their strength. The fact that in 150 years there is not one fossil found out of order, not one piece of verifiable evidence against evolution... that's a pretty strong record.

God on the other hand is not a theory. It is a statement of faith. It cannot be disproven because there are no testable claims. All it would take to prove the existence of god would be for god to provide a miracle, a revelation to all of humanity... hasn't happened in my lifetime or since the existence of the camcorder.
