I think that it is so crazy and sad how corrupt this system is today. Indidviduals can't even step up and defend somebody, even if that somebody was their friend, because they're afraid for their life or getting hurt really bad. I have to say that everyone who withholds helpful information to a crime investigation is a coward. Yet I'm calling myself a coward too. I am going to mind my own business as much as I possibly can just to protect myself or even my family. And that is how bad and real this "snitches get stitches" law of this system really is. My friend got jumped not too long ago and one of the kids that was jumping him happened to be punching my friend with brass knuckles. Lets just call my friend Frank(not his true name). So Frank ended up in the hospital half dead with the tube down his throat and everything for just 2 days. His total hospital bill was over $90,000 and he was only supposed to pay about $3,000 of it. DUDE! He has to pay $3,000! He didn't just beat up himself and go in to the hospital! Why arent the other guys paying for this? Oh, well that's because everyone who decided to step up and tell the cops what happened all told different stories so the kids that did that to Frank have absolutly no punishment and are back on the streets doing it all over again to somebody else. Why did anybody even say anything if they wern't going to tell the whole truth? Why did they say anything if they knew they wouldn't come to the stand about it? They are ultimately worse than the people who just don't say anything. I have another example of how this "snitches get stitches" rule has taken over. I saw a lady stab another lady the other day. She got taken to jail but suprisingly enough, its only about a week later and right now she's chillin at her house. All charges are dropped. Crazy isn't it? Let's not even start talking about how that young girl got gang raped for 2 and a half hours during homecoming at Richmond high school and their were supposedly 24 witnesses who came and left or even joined and didn't even do anything or call the cops. How scary is that? Somebody please defend me or call the cops if that was ever happening to me! I have come to the conclusion that this "snitches get stitches" law is definitly the devils game. Who wants to play with the devil?
