The Censorship of Fox?
I consider myself to lean to the right and i believe throughly in the 1st amendment im very curious to know how you guys feel about how the White House attempted to have Fox News send their broadcast to the White House in order to be shown. Would that action be justified or it unconstional?

I'm not sure that what you're saying is true. Did you get that from Fox News? From what I've read, the Obama administration is merely calling out Fox as an illegitimate news network.

Yes, there is freedom of speech, but libel is against the law. I have watched Fox News on several occasions, just for comparison's sake, and they are anything but "fair and balanced." I realize that the media is never objective, but Fox News seems to be the most ideological (2009 pew Research Poll showed this too) AND the loudest at delivering really sensationalized "stories" that have been skewed beyond recognition. I noticed this before the Obama administration.

If what you're saying is true (and I would like to see proof of that, before I believe it), then I would say it is wrong to have media companies send their material for approval, but this is really nothing new in America. Administrations have indirectly rewarded and punished media companies for the material they put out.

Barack Obama has turned down offers to appear on FOX News programs because "they do not care about the facts." Which, I find true, they are in no way fair or balanced. In fact, they are so blatantly right wing, it's ridiculous.

Why would he appear on any one of those shows when he knows full well it's just going to be a witch hunt? The truth is, all of the shows on FOX aren't even news, they are just the pushing of viewpoint. If you're going to do that, fine. But don't call it "Fair and Balanced information."

Regarding the 1st Amendment, yes, I guess they do have a right to say what they want (no matter how off the wall.) And I have the right to say the Faux News Network is full of it.

Clasher- Faux News Network haha, good one!

I had to comment, I love how creator of The Simpsons, Matt Groening, makes jokes about right wing politics in his show that is aired on Fox. Sticking it to the man!

I just don't think that TV stations should be owned by governmental officials. It is inevitably going to lead to biased "news reports." Come on people, I was in a high school journalism class and I had to fact check and be more subjective than that.

I too would like proof of the white house trying to censor the retards at fox. What you said sounds like something straight out of glen becks mouth/a$$, they are about the same.

I do not, however, unconditionally support a persons right to free speech. I think glen beck is too stupid to be able to wield that right, and it should be taken away from him.

Don't get me wrong, I despise people on the left just as much as people on the right. To me they are all equally too stupid to get to talk in front of a camera.

Politics in this country equates to kindergarten sandbox fights. The intelligence level is about the same.
