da bear's semi-forced retiremement from cnet
As my illness continues to plague me, and I had hoped it would get better by now, I have decided to do as I had planned at the end of janauary (someone is still gloating over my loss i know..and i will never forgive you for that)....i am going to be semi-retired for the next few weeks.
there is no cure for my illness, or how or why it strikes. It just comes as it pleases. stress and fatigue are major contributors to the illness, and I have been on the go for a while. I thought my holiday earlier would have helped but it did not..as I just jumped back into the fire the next day.
Cnet to me is a place that I call my outlet to the states while i am here in the czech republic, but i also am debating on a number of options in my life..and my illness struck me like a hammer to a nail.

luckily my writing is not at it's worse, but that does not mean i dont have typos and such, and my papers for my doctorate class are quite important to me...so I have to work on spellcheck and ensure my work is right.

i hope this is not my last entry.

and rememember a vote for me is 2 points for you...so its not a bad thing to vote for me.

peace be with you....

Your character amazes me, Grey! You are a strong individual and seem to have a good head on your shoulders. Never stop writing -- it is your strong point and certainly will serve as a therapeutic outlet. Your kindness and intellectuality on here has been astonishing and truly inspires me.

Keep your head high and don't let this bring you down too much. Don't hold anything inside for it will break you down even more. Prioritize and think of yourself right now.

Good luck and dream always! :)

people might say i am a bit cocky for these forums, being selfish, having a pity party and having fun. the truth is, i woke up sick on friday, and it has not gone away. luckily enough my motor skills are with me, though at times i have to write one word at a time or use spellcheck to make sure i am doing well. i have to work on papers for my doctorate class, and i am at this moment lost...forgetting things i should know, and will have to go back to previous work to see what i am doing wrong or right. i have never given up or stopped fighting but this is a heavy battle for me. i have to be able to teach..or i dont get paid..so i am putting all of my energy into my work. my professoris being tolerant of my issues, but i cant stop and give up, and the term is almost over.
i told a student today that giving up is way too easy..its enduring that makes you who you are.

thank you all for being behind me. as bono said..sometimes you cant make it on your own....
