You've Been Notebooked!
"Notebooked" is the term given to any person who has been shown the Notebook (or various other sappy movies) and bawled hysterically at the end. I've been notebooked more than once, and I have to say it is one of the best movies ever. My brother refuses to allow me to notebook him, afraid that if and when he cries it will undermine him manliness (this of course is my own take on his abstention but ya gotta wonder...). Similarly A Walk To Remember is just one of those classic tearjerkers. It's weird, besides for at overly sappy movies, I hardly ever cry and am completely out of touch with my emotions (emotions? what emotions?). Truthfully I am a cold-hearted witch with a soft-spot for movies overdramatizing undying love. It's repulsive, lol.
Have you ever been "notebook"ed? Are you too manly? Out of touch with your nonexistant emotions?

I have been Notebooked. It was a great movie. It did make me cry. However another movie that had me bawling most of the way through, which everyone else seems to find funny, was 50 First Dates! I don't know how people can find that movie funny. It does have some funny spots in it, but it's devastating! She can never really love him. Can you even imagine what that must be like? Anyway....

Yes of course I'm joinging the :notebooked" group. I can say that about many movies. Ever seen "Old Yeller"? Now there's a tear jerker.

Vote for me I will vote back.

I cry at pretty much any movie I have ever watched for some reason or another so I was prepared to do the same when I watched the notebook. Strangely that has been about one of the only movies that I didn't cry at but I have no idea why the water works didn't show up for that movie.

I'm a sap, so I cry when movies are sad. Definitely bawled in The Notebook. Hardball is another good one. Pay it Forward. And much newer, Seven Pound. I walked out of the theater crying like a baby.

You can't be too out of touch with your emotions if you can still empathize with these types of movies. I consider myself a fairly emotional person (being a girl), but I haven't cried during these particular movies. However, when it involves a father losing a daughter/son or vice versa, I can't seem to hold the tears back. I think this is because I have a very special place in my heart for my father and could not imagine losing him.
You should tell your brother not to let other people's reactions keep him from watching a good movie. He ends up missing out on a lot that way.
