Hi! My name is Brian. I am 24 years old and live in Phoenix Arizona where it’s extremely hot. I grew up in northern Arizona in Kingman to be exact. I lived for the first 21 years of my life. Growing up in a small town as a kid was very boring. There was nothing to do and my family didn’t really have any money at all so I didn’t get too do much as a kid. Well I grew up and had to stop school to help support myself and my family. It was really hard because there weren’t many jobs being it was such a small town and not having an education. Also there was not much to choose from as far as college. There was only 1 little community college. So one day I decided that I wanted to venture out and see what life in the city had to offer me. So I moved to Phoenix Arizona which is a pretty big city and lots of opportunity. There are millions of people compared to not even 40 thousand in my old town. So I wanted to better my life and expand my horizons so that I could one day come back home to my family in Kingman and I would have the education I need to make a decent living. I took a pretty big risk and left everyone and everything I had ever known and came to Phoenix with practically nothing and no one to help. So I somehow made everything work and am now doing my best trying to get through college and support myself at the same time. With the little financial aid I could get I can only afford to take 1 class at a time! So I’m really hoping to get some kind of scholarship or financial aid so I can get through school quicker and get back to my family. I worry a lot about my family back home because there is my father and grandmother and they are both pretty old. I plan to go back so I can take care of them because they need me. That’s why I really need to get a scholarship so I can get my degree before I’m 50 LOL and I can get back home before it’s too late. Right now I am attending DeVry University. I am hoping to attain my bachelors in Technical Management. I love computers and electronics. I love to do new things and I love to make new friends.
